The cries of baby turtles filled the air. Jolting awake from his light slumber, master Splinter turned his attention to the mini cradle on the sewer floor.
Four baby turtles laid inside, wailing. Splinter sat up and picked up the baby turtles, rocking them close to his chest. "Shh, aka-chans..." He murmured, rocking them gently.
The baby turtles ceased to calm down, so Splinter hummed softly to them, murmuring to them in a low, soothing voice as he continued to rock them.
"Shh, Wataimasua koko ni imasu, Saiai no hito..." Splinter whispered, tenderly nuzzling his whimpering babies who continued to cry.
"Shh, suimin, aka-chans...you must sleep, it is late." He tried consoling them. The baby turtles calmed down a bit and cuddled against Splinter's chest.
Splinter smiled and held them close. He purred softly to them and smiled when he heard them purr back. "My musukos..." He whispered.
He had gotten the baby turtles to stop crying, but Splinter still needed to find a way to get his tots to sleep. The babies were starting to whimper again.
Then Splinter had an idea. He held his little turtles close and started to sing softly as he rocked the tots back and forth soothingly.
"When the cherry blossom falls from the trees, there is a kozuko of devinity, suimin Saiai no hito, safe and sound, in this lair all is sound...~"
The babies looked up at their father as he kept singing softly. "In the waters deep and true, lie the answers and a path for you...~"
As Splinter sang, he rocked his babies. "Come my musukos, safe and sound in this lair, all is found...~"
The baby turtles slowly fell asleep in Splinter's arms. "Dah-dee..." They purred in their sleep. Splinter smiled down at them. "My musukos..."
Splinter laid down on the makeshift bed and allowed his little turtle tots to sleep around and on top of him. Leo was cuddled up in Splinter's arms.
Raph was curled up with his daddy's tail around him. Donnie slept on his father's back and Mikey was on top of his daddy's head, purring softly.
Smiling to himself, Splinter purred softly. He drifted off into a peaceful slumber with his sons surrounding him, purring like kittens.
