Stacy's POV

BUZZZZZZZZ.

My phone woke me up. The thing about my phone is that I set the alarm tone and the ring tone to be the same so it would be easier for me to wake up. I haven't opened my eyes yet, I just swiped the screen to answer the call.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hi Stacy." The familiar voice on the other line said. I know that voice. It's impossible to forget.

"Gavin?"

"Yeah, I got your number from Liz," He said. Stupid Liz. After what happened between us, I bought a new phone so he couldn't contact me anymore.

"I bought a new phone. What do you want?!" I asked him, trying to sound tough but deep inside, I wanted to cry. I felt so weak, I knew he had the ability to hurt me without even thinking.

"You know what I want. You know what I need." He said. The worst memories came crashing through my head. Nightmares I struggled so hard to forget.

I was speechless, trying to drown out the flashbacks. I wanted to cry, but I know he'd hear it. He can sense fear, I know him.

"After what happened in the mall I figured you wouldn't want to give it to me, but maybe if you could just see me, we could make things right again between us. We could be happy again. We could start over and forget everything. Please, please see me." He said in his pleading voice.

No, Stacy. You're not stupid enough to believe him again.

"Okay, but I'm only doing this for closure. I'm not going to get back with you, nor will I give you what you want." I said and then hung up.

"Mom!!! I'm going to the mall!!!" I shouted as I grabbed my most unflattering clothes in my closet. If he was going to see me again, I want him to think that I'm not attractive enough to be worth his attention.

"Who are you going with???" She shouted from downstairs.

"With Zayn!" I answered. If I told her about Gavin, she would never allow me. She trusts Zayn too much that if he told her that he was going to feed me to lions, she would probably say yes to it.

"Okay, but get back before 1 pm, understood? You have to be preparing for the dance by then!" I finished putting on my shirt.

"It won't take that long, don't worry." I said as I went down the stairs.

I kissed her on the cheek, went outside the house, and drove to the mall where Gavin was waiting for me.

Zayn's POV

"You fucker," I told Louis as he jumped up and down my bed.

"Wake up!!! It's the big day!" He said. I've been awake for about an hour now, but his idea of waking up is different from the rest of the world's idea of waking up.

"You say that every week." I replied. It's true. He says it a lot, more than he ever says hi, but this time, he's overly excited.

"No, today's THE big day!" He said as he jumped higher, almost making me bounce off the bed.

"Whatever it is, why don't you just keep it to yourself?"

"I'm taking him to homecoming!" He got my attention.

"What?! Him as in... HIM?!"

"Yes, him! Harry! MY Harry!" He confirmed.

"Are you sure?" I asked. If I was shocked, how would the whole school react? I mean, he's the head of the soccer team, all the girls are waiting for him to break up with El, and now he's going to take Harry to one of the most talked-about nights in high school?

"Dude, I can't be more sure of my decision. I've thought about it multiple times and I don't care anymore." He said. I know there was something I should give him... What's that word again? Oh, right. Support.

"But do you..." I saw how his facial expression changed. "Do you even know to dance?"

Louis's POV

"Do you even dance?" He asked me, which was a pretty stupid thing to ask me.

Come on, everybody knows I'm the king when it comes to dancing!

"Are you really asking me that question? Do you want me to throw it back to you?" I told him. I mean, the guy can't even dance to save his life!

"I can't dance." He said in his thick accent and I laughed. It's funny 'cause it's true. I remember one time when my sister got married and he had to dance at the ceremony. He used to run away and hide during rehearsals and the choreographer had to look for him every single time.

"You think I didn't know that already?" I asked him.

"Do we really have to, though? Like, can't the night move on without the dancing? Would the moon refuse to shine if we weren't dancing? What is it with dancing that makes the night so special?" He said as he sat up from his bed, he really looks confused.

"If the dancing is for anything or anyone, it's for the girls. The whole night is for the girls. The only way that it could be for us is when we finally hit the homerun, you know that." I told him.

"And Harry will be your girl?" He asked.

"He will be whatever he wanted to be. I will let him decide how the night goes for us. If he wants us to leave, to dance, to kiss on the stage, to hold hands, I don't mind. I'll do whatever makes him happy. I owe him that." I explained. I'm not expecting him to understand what I'm saying, but I want him to at least support me for my decisions because that's what bestfriends do.

"What about Eleanor?"

"She's going with her boyfriend." I answered. He kept quiet for a while, but then he spoke again.

"Do we have to waltz?"
