N.O 12 - Athena?

Sophia's P.O.V

Her body feels really heavy like she is underneath lots of rocks pushing her down, yet her hand feels light as a feather. The ringing sound came back into her mind the steady beating of the heart monitor next to her reassuring she's alive. A sense of Déjà vu washing over her as she opens her eyes once more. A floppy mops of hair sprawls by her side her hand clutched in another hand as if she would disappear. The door creaked softly as it opened to reveal her parents in the door way, their eyes widening slightly at their daughter and the position that Alex is now in.

"how are you feeling?" they both ask both moving to the opposite side of Alex who fast asleep.

"when can I get out of here?" was the only response that they received

"a couple days maybe a week? I'm not sure you were out for a while- "they stopped at the slight movement of the person t the side, his eyes slowly fluttering open, reaching up to wipe the sleep from his eyes before realising Sophia was awake his eyes going wide

"holy cheese cake" reaching over to gently awake the dead body behind him, only to push her off her seat

"WHAT! I TOLD YOU TO WAKE ME UP WHEN SHES AWAKE, NOT BEOFRE"

"morning Mira" Sophia said, Mira's eyes going wide,

"move, move out of my way" she begins to push anything and everything out of her way to get to her bestie before squashing her to death "I was so worried don't do that again" she lightly smacks her chest" but I'm glad your ok" she hugs her again

A cough from the corner pulled her off of the body on the bed.

"sorry" she slowly backs away giving everyone space. A few minutes later Dr Adams walked through door with his clip board his hand

"how are you feeling?" his eyes travel over her body again examining her condition briefly before making contact with her eyes again.

"I'm great thanks doc, uh when can I leave? Her fingers start to fiddle with the edge of her bed covers

"we will need to keep in for a couple more days to make sure there aren't any reoccurring injuries and then we can let you go if every thing comes back fine" checking her once more e gives a slight nod towards her parents before walking out the door the soft click

"were going to go an get a coffee and some food does anyone want anything?" her eyes scan the two teenagers that stand off to the side their backs facing the walls

"no thanks Mrs Davidson, thanks for offering" Alex replies after little thought, his feet leading his to the chair that he used to sit in

"do you mind if I join you? I would like some fresh air" Mira asks

"no of course dear" she waves her hand in the direction of the door, she starts to talk about a new café near by that she wants to try. All three of them walking towards the door half listening to the conversation their heads nodding as If they are actually listening. before the door shuts, a wink was sent their way by Mira

"hey Alex" he lifts his head towards her

"how did you get to mine so quickly the other day?" she asks her memories coming back slowly of what had happened before she fell into the darkness plummeting down to the depth of the earth

"what do you mean?" he asks his face full of confusion yet she wasn't fooled he knew what she was talking about.

"there was no way that you could have reached my house that quickly let along be let into the house to run up the stars and then bust the door down, that's not even humanly possible" the heart rate monitor started to speed up a little, the confusion and stress of the situation taking a toll on her body

"look I'm sure you were just imagining it you kept slipping in and out of consciousness because I was there in 5 minutes after I screamed your name" his hand reached for hers trying to soothe her, lifting his hand up to her face he pulls it towards him making her look into his eyes. His hand creating small circles on the back of her hand, the movement leaving tingles behind, almost making her forget what they were talking about, his hand dropping from her face once her heart rate fell ack into its normal rhythm.

Nodding her head, she drops the subject for now her head becoming heavy as her body wants to go to sleep again her eye beginning to droop

Realising what's happening Alex reached for the blanket and pulls it up tucking her in before placing a kiss on her head

"sleep will be here when you wake up" taking one last look at he backs off to one of the further chairs picking up his book to read while she falls into a dream less sleep

The trees around begin to sway the cold air nipping at her skin, the sky pitch black the only light being emitted by the woman that stood In front.

"blare" her voice is soft as she takes a step forward, the features of a woman becoming more prominent.

"I'm glad we can meet, you need to be careful, the sun is rising, the battle as begun, the light is dimming, the universe is becoming, be careful what you hope for, it may be your last"

"help is close but can't always be around, 2 keys 1 heart"

"I'm sorry" her voice is quiet "I don't know what came over me"

A slow clapping filled the air another woman faceless her out line the only thig that is visible "aww, how sweet" her voice mocking "don't we all feel homily now"

"Athena what do you want?" her voice held no emotion her eyes drifting to the defenceless girl that stood In front her, her safety, her concern

Chuckling "oh you know what I want" her face dropped her eyes changing a blood red. A sinister smile appearing on her face.

"I want her dead" her hand rose until it stopped her figure pointing towards Sophia her eyes unwavering her expression staying the same

"no!" a blast of white shot out of her hands pushing the woman far enough away for the mystery person to get in front and block Athenas view

A hand gripped her shoulder firmly pulling her away from the scene "come on you need to move" Jake pushed her with more force, her feet stumbling over each other as tree stumps came into her view the same trees she's seen before. Her eyes becoming blurry as everything fell away from her.
