Raimon Soccer Club, the whole team was busy preparing for something special, the Christmas Party. Maybe you asked why is it special, so imma tell you. It was because it'll be the first time that the club will held a party. Of course everyone was excited, especially that they will have a lot games to play and the exchange gifts. Everyone was happily decorating the place except for him, Tsurugi Kyousuke.
Sure, he was slightly happy for the event but he was blue that a special day will pass again without seeing his brother walk. Many years have passed since that incident yet he was still blaming himself for it. He was the reason why Yuuichi wasn't able to walk until now. “Are you sick, Tsurugi? You look pale today.” A light tap on shoulder was he felt as the brunette talked. Good grief, this guy's really concerned of everything.
He shook in response and smiled slightly, not wishing to make him more worry. If he told him, he'll not stop bothering him that's what he believed. Tenma just nodded yet he's still worried about this friend. He really want to know what going on but Tsurugi really don't want to talk about it so he left it be.
Three claps was heard coming from Otonashi-sensei which caught everyone's attention. “Alright! Everyone may go now,” was what she said. The navy-ette went to his locker then changed his clothes into his usual one then proceeded walking to the hospital. He thought that it'll be the best if he visited him first before going home.
“Oh, Tsurugi-san? Are you here to visit your brother?” The nurse greeted him. He smiled in response and nodded. The woman also returned the smile and wished him a good evening. He knocked on the door first and opened it as he heard the queue to do so. He found Yuuichi trying to walk towards his wheelchair. "Nii-san!" He immediately supported him as he almost fell. A soft laugh was what came from his mouth as he let his brother push the wheelchair toward his bed. “I told you that you don't have to push yourself, Nii-san. It'll just exhaust you before you know it.” He just sighed then let out a small smile. This man, really. He's much persistent than that Tenma.
“How can I not push myself if I see you doing your best for me? I also need to do my best not to waste everything you worked for, Kyousuke.” He was silent then, he did not know what to say. He has a point but he only worries about the condition of his older brother. He just sighed and helped his older brother lie down.
“How's your day?” One of his typical questions everytime he's visit this brother of his but it was quite cute of him to. He really loved the way he asks for his day, what's going on and et cetera. Tsurugi glanced at him with a smile, which explains that it was okay. And he know what that smile means without a doubt. It's what he responds sometimes. After he finished fixing his bed, he walked towards the window only to see the snowing place outside the hospital.
“Another Christmas is coming yet I'm still here, huh?” Yuuichi sadly spoke as he glanced at his leg. It might took longer before he'll totally healed. It's fine for him but not for his younger brother. He knew he's still blaming himself for what happened but it wasn't really his fault. It was Yuuichi's decision after all. “By the way, Tenma visited me earlier and informed me about your party the day after tomorrow.”
This made the younger Tsurugi to frown. If he'll attend that party, his brother will spend the Christmas day all by himself and it's not what he wants. “You can attend the party—”
“I'll not attend the party.”
Was what he said as he faced Yuuichi with a serious face. The elder Tsurugi was take back a little. If he was worried about him then he shouldn't. Kyousuke barely attends parties, meetings and many others just to spend his time with him. This time, he must enjoy himself to his fullest to make up for the past events. Well, it was all written to his face so Kyousuke guessed it already. “I want to spend the Christmas with you, Nii-san. That is my wish and the greatest present you could give me.”
He was touched by his words. He can sometimes be cold but right now, it's to sweet for his ears. Yuuichi opened his arms and smiled genuinely. “Come here, Kyousuke.” was what he uttered before the young sibling finally came to his embrace. This was the first time on this year that Kyousuke hugged him and it felt so nice for the both of them. “I appreciate it Kyousuke.”
