The sun was now at its zenith. Smoke came out of the building's chimney, indicating someone is cooking there. One of the soldiers carried a tray to Okamatsu Tatsumi's desk, which contained a bowl of oil-immersed ramen and a small cup of tea. As much as he wanted to complain about the ramen, he thought that its still food, and he was eating food far more appetizing than the loaves of hard bread the students are having.
Before having his meal, Okamatsu asked one of the soldiers, "Are the speakers ready?"
"Yes sir.", the soldier replied.
He nodded then got the mic from his desk and stood up. He opened the window nearest to him and held the mic near his mouth. A defeaning feedback was heard, making him and the others cover their ears. After a few seconds, the feedback subsided and he spoke, "Students! I bet you are all hungry right now! Well, eat your food and when you're done with it, get back to the killing spree! But first, as part of the 6-hour announcement interval, I will now announce the names of your classmates who are killed between 6 AM and 12 NN. This includes the new danger zones added."
