MOONLIGHT POOLED THROUGH THE SMALL CREVICE WHERE THE CURTAINS MET, CALIGINOUS SKY BRINGING A FEELING OF COMFORT TO HER OPEN HEART. Yes, it was open yet empty. Darkness shunned those glorious rays from the sun, marking an end of the day, promising a silent night for the hectic days.
In her eyes were those familiar stars one would see in the sky, mirrors of each other.
Midori seldom cried. When she did, it felt amazing and cathartic. The storm inside of her was coming to an end. Even if she cried because of the stress, pressure or anything negative, she couldn't shun that buoyant feeling inside of her. Her tears would always take her hand, pulling her away from the past and future, bringing her to the moment of the present.
Tears might've opened her heart, but they obscured her soul from the world, a layer of clearness covering her eyes, making even her own vision a tad blurry and the window to her soul a tad foggy. When her eyelids met, those tears fell down her cheeks, warm streaks kissing her skin, reminding her of a mother's comfort.
