⌗ ; 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗞𝗜𝗦𝗦 ▬ ★ ??

PERHAPS SHE WAS AFRAID OF HER OWN FEELINGS. It was not that she was appalled at the idea of a relationship with Hyunjin. No, quite the opposite, she wanted one. What she was afraid of was commitment. Fully committing oneself to another person, surrender one's heart to another person, trusting them not to tear it apart.

Sitting in front of Hyunjin, Midori trailed tired eyes over his face. They had practised every single day for a month, making sure the performance would be perfect and pleasing enough for the fans.

      'Are you all right?' Hyunjin asked, eyes finding hers. 

      'Fine,' Midori replied, lips curling into a small smile. 

Despite having been in the music industry for years, his voice seemed to bring out a new sort of feeling inside of her.

      'You're awfully quiet,' Hyunjin mumbled, his hand making its way to hers, taking hold of it in a gentle grip. 'Are you sure everything is all right?'

Heart swelling at his words, Midori had a hard time looking into his eyes. 'Everything's fine when you're here.'

A heartwarming laugh left Hyunjin's lips. 'Cheesy,' he commented.

      'Very cheesy,' Midori laughed. 

Her eyes flickered down to his lips for a split second. 

Almost chuckling to herself, she found herself thinking back at their kiss. It hadn't just been one kiss they shared, but rather a few ten or so. 

It was truly addicting, such strong feelings. 

Midori almost hated that she enjoyed it so much. 

A part of her wished to focus on her career and only her career. She did not have time for love, even less so when the love came in the form of her senior. But it made her feel good, so so good. She couldn't just ignore such a feeling. 

Hyunjin seemed to notice the way her eyes would occasionally travel down to his lips, for he leaned closer to her, eyes finding hers.

      'Would you be mad at me if I kissed you again?'

A feeling of nervosity evaded her chest. Tingling and bubbling, it filled her stomach with a thousand butterflies ━ the good ones. The ones you feel when you look at someone you like ━ or when you know that the person you like is about to kiss you. 

      'Of course not,' Midori answered, lips curling into a knowing smile. 

No, she'd be the opposite of mad ━ perhaps she'd go crazy from how addicting it is and thus go mad, but never would she ever have the guts to be mad at him for kissing her. 

Which was why she didn't push him away when he kissed her again.
