NI-KI ALWAYS SEEMED TO COMPLIMENT HER AFTER A PERFORMANCE. But this time seemed to be different, his eyes were always trained on her, following her movements. Perhaps it was because he was a teenage boy, or because he had never seen Midori in a suit, or because she simply looked good.
Sunghoon had a hard time figuring it out, but concluded that it was a mix of the three. As good as she looked, he knew to keep his distance. There had always been this underlying crush he had on her, not that he was sure it was a crush anymore. He had a hard time differentiating between being in love, loving, or just finding great comfort in her. The lines blurred and merged under her unconscious command, leaving Sunghoon in a confused state.
While Ni-ki was growing into a handsome young boy, Sunghoon knew Midori would never return such feelings. At least not as long while Ni-ki was that young. She basked in the attention but ultimately knew that she would have to reject him until he was older.
