MOONDUST SCATTERED ACROSS THE SKY, TURNING THE DARK VEIL INTO A SHIMMERING BEAUTY

MOONDUST SCATTERED ACROSS THE SKY, TURNING THE DARK VEIL INTO A SHIMMERING BEAUTY. Midori exhaled a heavy sigh, hand holding Hyunjin's. With him, she had always been relaxed. Something about her presence could calm even the most violent of storms inside of her. Endless thoughts swirled around in her mind, enough to cover the whole night sky if they wanted to. There was a lot going on in her life at the moment. Not only did she need to meet Hyunjin ( which was more of a blessing than anything ), but she also had to speak to her parents, talk to K, take care of Naito, and get rid of Kaycee; all while holding the picture-perfect smile for the camera.

After her conversation with Naito, Midori had been more worried than ever. Thus, Hyunjin had cleared both of their schedules and decided that this day was their day. Their day to enjoy and their day to spend together with no worries or anxiety.

'Honestly, Hyunjin. . .' Midori trailed off. 'I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Every day it feels like I'm going to break apart.'

'I know it's hard, but you'll get through it, won't you?' Hyunjin inquired, glancing down at her with a small smile.

      'I suppose I will. . .'

'You always find a way,' he chuckled. 'You're strong, one of the strongest women I know.'

Midori couldn't help but chuckle at his sweet words. 'Who are the other ones?'

      'My mother. . . Mercy. . . Juni-sunbaenim. . . to name a few,' Hyunjin told her.

'You know Juni-sunbaenim? The one from BTS?' Midori gasped.

'Yeah, we're not as close as Bang Chan-hyung and her but. . . I know she's been through a lot,' Hyunjin said.

'Yeah. . .' Midori trailed off, mind wandering to her senior and the hardships she must've gone through.

The river beside them flowed with such elegance. The breeze blew through every opening it could find, its frigid gust bringing a taste of sweetness upon her tongue. It might've been summer but the night was still young and the warming embrace of the sun was long gone.

Yet the darkness was far away. City lights, a reflection of the million stars in the sky placed on Earth. The lights welcomed her with a beautiful sight. It did not bring the same warmth the sun brought, but it did bring a certain feeling of familiarity. One that warmed her body from the inside, like a hot soup on a winter's day.

However, none of the things could compare to Hyunjin. None of those things could compare to how he lit her world up, how he brought the warmth she needed to get through it all.

It was there, by the Han River that Midori realised she loved Hyunjin. For when she looked into his eyes, she saw beyond those dark irises of his, beyond his mind and into his soul. Deep inside, Midori saw love. It did not take a special shape or form, nor colour. It was just there, just like it always had been. Swirling around them with grace, bringing their hearts closer to one another, letting them beat for each other.

He was her heart and soul.

But she wouldn't want to have it any other way.

      'Hyunjin?'

      'Yes, love?'

'I think I love you. . .' Midori blurted out, noticing the way he froze beside her.

And then he began smiling, grinning like a boy in love ( he was ).

'I love you too,' he smiled, leaning down and pressing a kiss to her nose. His arms slowly made their way around her body, pulling her close. In the corner of his eye, Hyunjin saw a flash, causing him to snap his head towards it.

Clenching his jaw, Hyunjin removed his arms from Midori.

'Come on, let's head to my home,' he said, voice dropping into an irritated one.

Midori furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. 'Why?'

'Cameras. We'll probably see an article about it tomorrow.'

A thought entered Midori's mind and she couldn't help but give Hyunjin a suggestive grin.

'We can always give them a reason to write an article. . .' she trailed off, grin still evident on her face.

An amused chuckle left Hyunjin's lips. 'I'd rather do that at home.'

'Then let's get home as quickly as possible.'
