It has come to my attention, dear reader, that the widespread rumours which have been circulating throughout the ton over the past few days have, indeed, been at last resolved.
At last night’s ball the infamous rake Viscount Anthony Bridgerton scandalously halted the music to declare - in no simple terms - that he and the excessively handsome Lady Aurora Grey were to be married.
This will of course come as no surprise for you, dear reader, if you have been following my papers as I have for some time now predicted such a desirable event.
Nonetheless, it was a spectacle indeed to witness such a loving declaration from the previously “heartless” viscount. And many young ladies will certainly be quite jealous of Lady Grey.
I can only offer the couple my greatest congratulations on the announcement, and hope for their sake that their marriage is a truly happy one. It certainly promises to be!
