Mission impossible/Cheryls birthday part one

Cheryl's birthday was in three days and I had nothing. And nobody knew what she wanted not even her own dad.
" he said the best thing to get her was a gift card or just money" Donna told me as we walked down the halls on an early Monday morning. "But she is my girlfriend" I wine like a baby to Donna. As we headed to class. "Yes I know, Toni and see I fourth period" Donna said as we went to the classrooms. For the rest of the day I couldn't stop thinking about what to get Cheryl for her birthday.

She was literally my entire world and I just wanted to make her birthday really special for her since she was turning 17 and she already had a car and really expensive jewelry her dad was right she was hard to shop for.

But then a brilliant idea popped into my head I should just look at her search history on her laptop or her Amazon wish list. I know that Cheryl was a big Amazon person since I sometimes go through her mail but none of stalking way just in a loving caring girlfriend away.

I know it sounds weird but we're not gonna talk about it. I know that Cheryl had lacrosse practice after school today and so did Betty so no one was going to be in their dorm room.

Our school was split up into sections and on the third floor of the school was the girls dorm room, and the girl storms were split up into four sections also. The four sections were split up by color. There was orange green blue and red. Cheryl was on the red side of the hallway which means I would have to pass four cameras just to get to her dorm hallway. Also since I have a master suite bedroom my dorm is on the corner end of orange hall. There's a sweet dorm on every end of the four sections.

Me and my mom still haven't spoken yet after that whole incident that happened in her office. We didn't even speak on Christmas which is really rare because that's when she tries to control me the most.

I was walking up the stairs to get to the third floor that had the dorm rooms on it when I saw my mom literally walking straight towards me.

It felt like my heart stopped beating right then and there, I froze I couldn't move or breathe at that point not speaking to my mom for two weeks was actually pretty hard but now seeing that she was walking right towards me just was so hard to watch.

"Toni are you ok" my mom asked in a calming voice which is not normal.  I thought something was wrong with her or she wanted something from me which she probably did when she use that tone.

"Ummm.... yes I am" I said stuttering a little.

" well just want to make sure that you haven't fallen behind on your studies, and if you are you know there will be major consequences so don't go getting distracted by your little boy toy" she said

I was confused at what "boy toy" meant, but she was probably doing that thing where people don't acknowledge somethings shocking which she does a lot so this is normal so I guess she's not sick.

I just shook my head indicating that I meant yes as I walked past her heading to Cheryl's color dorm.

When I got theCheryl room number I slowly pulled on the door knob as the door knob didn't move or the door it clicked in my head that the door was locked.

So I pulled a bobby pin out of my pinned up here that was in a very neat bun which was now in a very sloppy bun from PE. And stuck the bobby pin in the little hole where you would put the key. I twirled the bobby pin around little by little as I turned the knob seeing if I had opened it yet. With another wiggle and turn the door open.

I had learned to pick a lock from my mom so I can get into the library and study for the SAT after hours before she became headmaster of Stonewall.

I walked into the lightly dim room. I walked over to Cheryl's bed. Her bed was all made up. With a little stuff monkey Sitting up on one of her pillows.
