Author's Note: This is so dope! We have reached 1k reads on this story. I feel like doing something special. Would y'all like me to do a special chapter in which shows how Jasmine and Von met.. (etc.)?

Jasmine's POV:

Are you sure you don't need to stay any longer? Von asked me for the fifth time today.

"I promised I'm fine." I said annoyed.

Kill the attitude he said.

I laughed as I rolled my eyes. I was ready to leave the hospital. I had already been in here for three weeks. I hadn't seen my babies and I was sure by now they wanted to meet their baby brother.

I glanced at him, as he slept in my arms. "Why the fuck does he have to look like Dayvon?" I asked myself. He was still handsome though.

Being in here easily made me forget about the real world. There was a silent war going on outside these walls.

A war that involved me.

I hated it, but I understood why.

You ready? Roy is waiting with the car upfront. Von said.

I nodded as I strapped the baby inside the carseat. The pain I was feeling in my stomach was nearly gone. Although, it did leave an ugly scar there. It was something that I would have to get use to.

Wait! I got it. Von said, as I tried to pick the carseat up.

"You don't need to be doing all of that." He said.

I'm fine. I said again.

He glared at me, before walking towards the door. Once more he stopped midway. Do you need a wheelchair? He said.

Boy move, I said before pushing him forward.

Keep your hands to yourself gang. He said.

Roy, was waiting inside the car, not noticing us as we walked up.

"Ayo, let me talk to you for a moment." Someone said as they rushed over towards us.

Hold up folks; I don't know you like that. Von said.

Yeah, but you need to know me. The man said. He wore a black hoody in 105 degree weather in Chicago.

"Nigga what?" Von said again.

Von? I whispered.

Yo, do we have a problem? Roy said from behind. He pulled up his shirt showing the gun strapped on his hip.

I rolled my eyes.

The guy ran off.

"Yo, what the fuck was that about gang?" Von asked Roy.

You know the streets are hot right now. Roy said.

You need to be strapped at all times.

Bro, if I'm doing this music shit. I can't be strapped. This is how we eat. Von said.

"That's why you and Durk  needs to have gang with you at all times. People are out here going crazy he said.

Von nodded, before looking at me.

I looked the other way, briefly.

What's up sis. You looking good. Roy said.

I smiled "Thank you Roy." I said.

Don't be pushing up on my girl like that gang.  Von said.

Shut yo ass up Von. Roy said.

Let's go I said laughing.

The drive seemed to take forever as we now lived further out. Part of me was ready to fall asleep again.

"We here Von said as he jumped out.

He grabbed the baby again before I could.

"What time are the kids going to be here? I asked as he unlocked the door.

"Surprise!" I heard many voices yell.

Blue balloons fell out the sky, as everyone jump out.

I looked around as everyone was here.

I looked back at Von. "You know I hate surprises." I said.

"Yeah, I know." He said as he kissed me on my cheek.

Mommy! I heard a voice scream.

August ran into my arms. I hugged him tight. Did you grow taller? I asked.

Yes, but I missed you.

I missed you more. I said.

Where is your sister? I asked.

"She is sleeping." He said.

Do you want to see your baby brother King? I asked.

He nodded. As he ran over to Von who sat the carseat on the floor.

He glanced at King, before looking back at me.

Will he have to listen to me, when he's older? He said.

I laughed, maybe baby.

Jas ! I heard Nicki yell.

I jumped happily into her arms.

I missed you. I said softly.

I missed you too. Why you leave me with these crazy ass hoes?

Never again, will I. I said.

Hoes? Brittany said.

It fit the picture. Von said.

Hey, to you too Brittany.

She hugged me tight, as she was afraid to let me go.

My favorite daughter-in-law is home for good. Von's mom said.

I glanced at her, as she stepped into the living area.

Hey, momma. I said.  And we not married yet. I laughed.

Mind as well. She said.

Jas? Von said.

Yes? I said as I turned around.

I didn't see him until I looked down.

He was down on one knee with a ring in his hand.

My heartbeat raced faster.

I'm a thug, so I'm not with all those fancy words. But you know I love you. Shit, everyone here knows I do even Brittany.

I laughed.

Plus my momma can't keep a shit on the down low. She almost gave my cover up.

Anyways, what I'm really trying to say is.

Will you marry me? He said.

I smiled.

You know I'm always down forever. I said.

Author's Note: This is a short chapter but let me know what ya'll think. Even when a war going on, we still find a way to see some love. Leave me a comment.
