I went inside. "Dad!" He came out. "Welcome home."

"Why does everyone know mom's moving back but me?"

"Uh. Sweetheart that's not certain. She doesn't know yet."

"What about the secrets? We were gonna tell each other everything."

"We were gonna tell you when you're ready."

"Ugh."

"How was school?"

"It was okay. I don't have to look at my killer everyday."

"I'm glad it was good."

"Are you going back to work?"

"It's better if I work from home."

"Oh okay."

"You got homework?"

"Yeah a lot."

"You should get to it."

"Yeah I know. What's for dinner?"

"Your mom's gonna come and cook for us."

"Mom? Why?"

"Um. Well she wants to. She hasn't cooked for you in a long time."

"I don't want her around a lot dad. It was good with me and you." He sighed. "Okay sweetheart." I go to my room.

"What do we do?"

"I don't know. Um. We just have to tell her."

"I guess."

"Sweetheart it's time for dinner." What were they talking about? I walked out. "Hi mom." She hugged me. "Hey sweetheart. I made spaghetti."

"Oh okay." We all sat at the table. "How was school?"

"It was okay."

"Great."

"So mom you're moving down here?"

"I don't know yet. I just wanna be closer to you guys...you. I miss seeing you around."

"That sucks because I told dad I don't want you around a lot."

"Sweetheart that's not gonna happen."

"What? Why?"

"Well we're back together baby."

"What? No no no." I got up. "Dad...why would you do this to me?"

"We couldn't stop this baby. We just fell in love again." My mom got up. "Sweetheart if this happens our family is complete we're both happy."

"But I'm not."

"Baby-."

"I hate you both!" I run outside. Everything is against me. No one listens to me. I don't have any choice for anything. One thing happens and something worse happens. I sat on a bench. I hope my mom leaves. "Hey."

"What are you doing here?"

"I live on down. You been crying?"

"No. Why would you think that?"

"I don't know. It's getting really dark. Why you out here?"

"Nothing goes my way when I actually need them to."

"I know how you feel."

"Unique? Come home."

"Is mom there?"

"Of course."

"Then no. I moved with you to get away from mom now you guys are back together? You think I wanna go back home?"

"Baby. This is something that you can't change."

"Okay."

"Come home?"

"No. Actually. I think I'm gonna go to college so I can get away from you guys."

"What?" I started walking to the house. "Unique. Think about this."

"Dad. You guys got together without me knowing and then you expect me to be okay with it?"

"Not right away. Sweetheart we did this for you."

"You did this for you and mom. I bet my name didn't come up in conversation did it?"

"It was just between us two."

"What about Keith? What did she do with him?"

"She broke it off."

"If you marry mom again what will happen?"

"We'll get a nicer place. Maybe have another kid."

"Okay go ahead. I don't even care anymore."

A few weeks later
Prince was helping me study for my history test. He's actually really sweet. "I like studying with you and all that but we have feelings for each other. We can't pretend like it's nothing."

"Uh well. I do like you I really do but after that Jonah thing I don't know."

"You can trust me. We've literally been hanging out for like a month. Just me and you. No one else."

"Okay but we can only hold hands okay?"

"Okay definitely." Someone knocked on my door. "Who is it?"

"It's dad." He opened the door. "Yes?"

"You don't come out of your room much sweetheart."

"I don't have to look at you as much."

"Sweetheart it's time you just accept it."

"No. Get out of my room dad."

"I'm tired of you acting spoiled."

"Mh. What else?" He walked out. "Come stay at my house."

"Are you sure?"

"Just for a night."

"Okay."

"Take your books and stuff. We can study at my place."

"Oh okay. Will your parents be okay with it?"

"Yeah. They'll love to see you."

"Okay." I grabbed my stuff. "Come on." We walked out. "Hey sweetheart."

"Mom." I grabbed my keys. "Where are you guys going?"

"To his house to study."

"His house? Why can't you guys stay here?"

"I don't kmow. Maybe I just don't wanna be here with you guys."

"What is your problem?"

"You're my problem. I don't want you around."

"I know having a new sibling will be hard on you-."

"What? You're pregnant?" She smiled. "Yeah. I don't want them to grow up knowing that you don't like them very much." I open the door. "Let's go Prince."

"Alright. Let's go in my car. My mom will kill me if I don't bring it back."

"Okay." We got in. He started to drive. "Tell me something."

"I don't know what to tell you. You know everything. You tell me something."

"I've never had sex before."

"Wait really?"

"Nope. I've been pressured to but I never give in."

"That's smart of you."

"Yeah. I'm proud of you for trying to keep yourself safe. You're one of the smartest people I've ever met. No other girl would try to get Jonah to wait like you did. You're very smart and that's a huge reason I like you."

"You're so sweet. Thank you." He grabbed my hand. "No problem, love. We're here by the way. I don't live that far."
