Kinabukasan kahit na nasa meeting ako ay panay ang tingin ko sa singsing. I can't believe that I am now engaged with him. Kahit si Sofia na nasa opisina ko habang kumakain ay nagtataka na sa biglang pagngiti ko. Zackelthon texted me that he's kind of busy today kaya malalate daw syang uuwi ngayon. I brought my car though kaya okay lang na mauna ako.

"You are so creepy, Ms. Albati." Sofia said with her brows furrowed.

"I looked creepy when I'm smiling?" I asked curiously.

"No, you are still beautiful but you look creepy smiling without a reason."

"May rason nu! Hindi ko lang sinasabi." I said, pouting.

"What is you reason, then?"

I widely smiles not showing my teeth. Her brows furrowed again with curious look. Should I tell her? Wala naman sigurong mali kung sasabihin ko sa kanya hindi ba? I showed her my finger and the diamond ring shine like a star. I saw her jaw dropped. I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing. Kung maka react para kasing nakakita ng multo.

"Is that an engagement ring, Miss!?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong nya.

I nod excitedly.

"Congratulations." kahit na gulat sya ay nagawa nya parin akong batiin at yakapin. I felt her crying kaya ako naman ang nagtaka sa kanya.

"Oh? Bakit ka umiiyak?"

"I am just happy! My boss is already engaged."

I just laughed and she hugged me again.

After work. Sumakay na ako sa elevator para bumaba at kunin ang sasakyan ko. Pagkabukas ng pinto ay agad kong nakita si Angelina na nakatayo.

I didn't expect to see her here. Ang huli naming pagkikita ay n'ong meeting.

Her eyes looks so tired while looking at me. This is the first time I saw her look so lousy. Everytime I saw she look so elegant, charming and pretty but not today, she seems... defeated.

"Are you okay?" that was the first word that came out of my mouth.

Kahit na gulat ako sa biglang pagpapakita nya sa akin ay hindi ko iyon pinansin at nilapitan sya kaagad. She looks annoyed and sad at the same time. I walked closer to her but she stepped back so I stopped.

"I want to t-talk to you." iyon agad ang sinabi nya.

"About what?"

"About Zackelthon."

I pursed my lips.

"Pipigilan mo ulit ako?" mahinang tanong ko.

Umiling lang sya ng umiling. Even with a teary eyes she remained standing like in a moment she'll faint.

"Saan tayo mag-uusap?"

"Our house."

My mouth opened. Anong gagawin nya? Is she trying to kidnapped me? What? Kahit matagal na panahon na n'ong pinigilan nya ako kay Zavkelthon, hindi ko parin magang kalimutan iyon. Like in a moment she'll kidnap me.

"Don't think ill of me. May ipapakita lang ako sa'yo." kahit sa pagmamaldita nya sa akin ay halata parin ang pagod at... lungkot.

Sa huli pumayag nalang ako. Sumakay sya sa kanyang sasakyan at sumakay naman ako sa akin. I followed her car. Bakas sa mukha ni Angelina kanina na pagod sya pero kinakaya nya parin. Her beautiful face is ruined and there's a bag under her eyes like she's tired of crying.
