Chapter 40

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN SHE ISN'T THERE?" Yoongi shouted down the phone as he paced around his office

"Sir, I don't know what to tell you. We checked the whole apartment building. It's empty" Yoongi's employee replied through the phone

"Fuck" Yoongi cursed under his breath "just.... just check again! Ok?!?" Yoongi hung up and slammed his phone down on the table trying to calm himself down.

She was gone and he had no idea how to find her. His first thought was that kang dae took her, it's the most likely situation. But his busan employees had searched the whole apartment building of where they lived and there was no trace of them even having lived there. Now he really has no idea where she could be.

"Maybe it's not even kang dae that took her...." Yoongi muttered to himself trying to think about what could have happened. Yoongi's thoughts were interrupted by a knocking at the door "come in" he yelled

"Yoongi? What's going on? Where's Mina?" Hoseok asked with worried eyes as Yoongi hadn't told any of the boys yet

Yoongi sighed "group meeting. Now" he stood up and headed to the kitchen table.

All the boys one by one took their seats. Hoseok, namjoon, seokjin, Taehyung, jungkook.

"What's the meeting for Yoongi? I was in the middle of a business meeting?" Namjoon asked curiously

"Your business meeting can wait." Yoongi said blankly

"What's wrong? Where's Mina?" Jungkook frowned

Yoongi sighed and gulped "she's gone"

"What do you mean she's gone?" Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows and glared at Yoongi

"She tried to leave again?!? I thought she agreed to stay?!" Hoseok was offended

"No.... what I mean is... she was taken" Yoongi said bluntly and the room fell silent

"Taken? Taken by who? By kang dae?" jungkook stood up. Surprising Yoongi a little with how angry he was over this

"I mean that's my first thought. I don't know. I had my men in busan check kang dae's apartment. There is no trace of them ever being there"

"That son of a bitch!" Jungkook was pissed "I'll find him" jungkook marched towards the door

"Jungkook wait. Where are you even going to go? You don't even know where he could be" namjoon called out

Jungkook didn't reply he just walked out.

"I'm going with him" Taehyung stood up quickly and also started to head out

"Wait-" Hoseok called out

"Just let them" seokjin settled Hoseok down "I'll have my contact start the search" Jin announced

"I'll get started with digging up whatever I can find on kang dae" namjoon announced

"Thanks guys" Yoongi replied blankly as they both headed out of the room

"Yoongi?" Hoseok looked at Yoongi who looked completely stressed out "are you ok?"

"Hoseok" Yoongi looked at him with the most serious expression Hoseok had ever seen "I'm going to kill him" he said with zero emotion and zero hesitation. Hoseok knew he meant every word of it.

"I am going to kill kang dae" Yoongi stood up and started to head out

"What if kang dae didn't take her, what if she left on her own accord?" Hoseok called out after him but he just kept walking feeling stung with the possibility of her leaving once again by herself.

"FUCK YOU! GET THE FUCK OFF ME YOU PIGS!" Mina kicked and screamed at her kidnappers as she tried to break free in the back of the van they were transporting her in

"Jesus Christ she is a screamer" one of them rolled his eyes

"Hey shut her up will you?" The driver shouted back to them

One of the men slapped her in the face before pushing her down and tying a strip of fabric around her head and in between her teeth to gag her.

"One more sound out of you and I'll slit your neck, got it?"

"Pfuuu yyyoooo" was the only sound she managed to get out now she was gagged

"That does it" the man was about to knock her out before he was stopped by a man in the passengers seat at the front "wait" he said calmly "pull the van over" he order

"Sir. We really shouldn't stop now, we have to-"

"I said stop the car" he demanded

Wait, I know that voice, Mina thought to herself.

The man climbed out the car and came around to the back pulling open the van's back doors.

"Hey sweetheart" he smiled down at his ex-fiancé "have you missed me?"

Mina started struggling against the ropes that bound her hands and screaming out little cries.

"Shhhhh" kang dae cooed pulling her closer towards him so he could look into her eyes "I have to say I'm really impressed with you baby, I didn't think you would have it in you to try and get me killed and then runaway with my murderer"

"Pfu yyoo" she grunted

"Wow" he gripped his fingers on either side of her checks holding her head still "you have gotten so brave haven't you? Where is my sweet, innocent little Mina who would take everything I gave her?"

She grunted again and tried to pull her head away but his grip was too tight.

"Listen here princess, this is how it's going to work. You are going to come with me without kicking up any fuss-"

Mina grunted and struggled again.

"Ap ap ap. you will come with me or you can watch as your little boyfriend gets thrown in jail for life"

She furrowed her eyebrows at him in confusion, anger and disgust.

Kang dae smiled and pulled out Yoongi's old burner phone causing Mina's eyes to grow wide "I have all the evidence I need on this phone to arrest him and you. Plus as a little bonus to help my case further" he pulled out Mina's old phone that Yoongi had broken. It was put back together by tape and other technology glues "see this. That picture of you and your boyfriend at the pumpkin patch is just so cute, isn't it?" Kang dae brought up the picture on the cracked screen of her phone and showed it to her.

Her eyes quivered seeing Yoongi's face smiling at her so sweetly in the photo. She loves him more than she ever thought she could. All she could think about now was him and protecting him.

"So if you want me to give both of these phones to the police then I will. Rest assured I will be able to prove you tried to get me killed and prove all the other murders he has committed" he said coldly in Mina's face so much so that it made her shiver "or... you can be a good girl and come with me without a fuss and these" kang dae held out the phones "will just stay between us two" he smiled at her

A tear rolled down Mina's cheek as kang dae let go of her face and her head dropped down in submission.

"Good girl" he kissed the top of her head and closed the van doors again.

Mina always knew that text would come back to haunt her.
