Chapter 42

After 3 days inside of the closet Mina was loosing the will to live. Her body was starved and she was near-death having not had a glass of water in over 72 hours.

She had wore her fingernails down to the bone by scratching at the door so much, so they were now covered in blood. She lay in a ball on the floor waiting for him to open the door and let her see sunlight once again.

She heard footsteps but that could have just been the delirium.

The door opened and light burnt her skin and made her eyes wince shut "baby" he crouched down in front of her lifeless form "are you ready to come out now?"

Mina put all the energy she had in nodding her head. Kang dae scooped her up and carried her back to bed and fed her water and an apple "You going to fight me again?" He asked

She glared at him.

"You are lucky I'm treating you so nicely. Do you know how I felt when I found out you had tried to get me killed and then ran off with the man who was supposed to kill me? Do you know how heartbroken I was?"

Mina just stared blankly at him.

"But it's ok my love" he stroked her cheek "you are back with me now and everything can go back to normal now"

Mina winced with the idea of being stuck with him for the rest of her life. Back to being trapped again.

"I see you took your engagement ring off" he held her weak bloody hand and looked down at the empty ring finger "it's ok. We will buy you a new one. Would you like that?" He asked softly

Mina nodded her head.

"ok once you are feeling better we will go out and buy a new one together" he kissed her on the top of her head and headed out of the bedroom locking the door behind him.

Mina stared at the now closed door and started to sob to herself as her new reality set in.

Yoongi stared blankly at the front door. He was sat on the steps of the stairs just staring. He had been there for a few hours now. Just waiting. As if she might walk in the door any moment.

Maybe if he wished for it hard enough it would come true.

Suddenly jungkook burst through the front door with some papers in his hands "guys I've got it. I know where she is!" Jungkook blurted out and yoongi instantly stood up "well I know where she might be"

"What did you just say?" Taehyung dashed out of the kitchen eagerly

"Look at this" jungkook showed Yoongi and Taehyung a property recently bought in sungho's name

Yoongi grunted and rolled his eyes "You are still on about this"

"So sungho bought a new apartment. So what?" Taehyung asked

"So Mina could be here"

"Don't be ridiculous" Taehyung sighed taking the paper off of him

"Just drop it bro. Please" Yoongi begged

"Hyung please. Let's just go to the apartment and if she is not there then I'll stop investigating this lead" jungkook begged

"I mean it's the first address we actually have" Hoseok entered slowly having heard the conversation "namjoon and Jin both still don't have anything... maybe we should just check it out?" He suggested

Yoongi sighed "fine"

"Did you enjoy your breakfast?" Kang dae asked Mina at the breakfast table that morning
