cried about 10 minutes ago ... what the fuck

TUESDAY MORNING. "He's already moving someone else in?" Luke asked in response to me telling him that I was trying to get everything out of my place by tonight. "Bit of a quick turn around, eh?"

"Yeah, well, if I didn't think it was possible for me to get out so fast, he wouldn't actually rush me, but... the big stuff is already moved into the house—it's just a matter of getting all my boxes out." Yesterday while I was in class and at work, my parents, Cam, Howie, and Madalyn all teamed together to get my furniture out and into the house. My parents had planned that sometime last week, so Claus telling me that he was hoping to move someone in as soon as possible really hadn't totally sped up some of my plans. I had planned to stay at Luke's for the whole week, so now it was just a matter of clearing my place out. Which I hadn't planned to do until Luke was here.

"Are your parents gonna come help?"

"They can't—they both have to work. Cam has a job interview, so I told him not to worry about helping. He's got enough on his mind. All my friends have classes today... except for Danny. So he's on his way over." I smiled as I realized I wouldn't have to be doing this alone—also I was happy because I knew how big Danny's car was. I was hoping to be able to fit nearly everything in both of our cars.

"Just you and Danny?"

"Beggars can't be choosers, Lu," I chuckled out as I pressed my phone between my ear and shoulder as I stirred my coffee. My coffeemaker was one of the last things I had to pack.

"Wait... so are you taking all the stuff to the house?"

"Nope—I'm taking it to your place," I told him, somewhat nervously. "I really hope you don't mind, but your place is so much closer than the house—"

"Of course I don't mind, bubs—that means I'll still get to move stuff in," Luke cut me off, which caused me to smile. I hadn't expected him to be glad that I was about to make a mess of his place. "This isn't you trying to hint that you've actually just decided to move into my place, is it?"

"Aw, shucks! You've found me out!" My joking caused Luke to laugh and I grinned at the sound. "However, I can't promise that I didn't designate a box or two of things to be unpacked at your place..."

"Like... you're moving more stuff into mine?"

"Just a couple of things—honest! Nothing big, but... just some more necessities that I've been missing over there." I started to nervously explain myself and I found myself calming down as I heard Luke chuckle.
