I stare down at where Trinity disappeared and where the pteranodons dived after her, screeching as if to spite us as they went after our friend. I glance down at my hand as it shakes before curling it into a fist. I couldn't save her. God, what'll happen if we run into her dad? How am I supposed to tell him his only child is gone?

Kenji falls to his knees next to me, staring down into the darkness and I can't even imagine what is going on in his head. He was closer to Trinity than any of us. "She's gone. She's… gone," Yaz whispers in disbelief. Bumpy bellows softly as Ben whimpers.

"I won't believe it!" The raven haired girl exclaims before trying to step towards the broken window only for Yaz to stop ber. "Sammy," she says pointedly and Sammy shakes her head, covering her face with her hands, sobbing quietly. "No!"

"She… she saved me," Ben whispers and I glance over to him as he curls around Bumpy, crying silently. I turn back towards the shattered window only to realize that we're no longer going the right way. "We're going back," I say in a whisper and push myself to my feet. "The monorail's going back!"

I hear the brakes screech as the car slows down to make a turn, almost knocking me down. The others weren't so lucky. "What do you mean, “going back”?" Brooklynn asks as she pushes away from the floor. "When we switched tracks we ended up on one headed north!" I move towards the controls and get into the seat.

"We're not going to the south docks, we're going away from them!" I start pressing random buttons praying that one of them will do something. When it doesn't I slam my fist down in frustration. "Doesn't anything here work!" I head back to the others and try not to panic.

"We gotta get off this monorail now!" Brooklynn races over to one of the windows. "Oh! Th-the track dips down up ahead! We can jump there!" 

"What?" Kenji asks loudly and Ben shakes his head. "You want us to what?" He exclaims in fear as he clutches tightly to Bumpy. "Jump?!"

"We can't its too far to jump!" Yaz shouts and I shake my head. "It's the only way!" We all gather near the busted window and wait as we get closer. Kenji and Ben got Bumpy. I take a deep breath as it gets even closer. "One…" I hear Sammy whimper behind me. "Two…" Bumpy makes a noise and my heart races in my chest. "Three!"

I jump, screaming as I fall through the tree branches. I cry out when I hit the ground, which happened to be a hill so I start rolling down it, listening to the others screaming as well. My body slams into a rock and keeps me from rolling farther down. Another body hits mine and I groan in pain.

I get up, causing Brooklynn to slide off me and rub at the back of my neck. "Is everyone alright?" They groan as they sit up, rubbing at whatever hurts. "Ish. What about you?" The pink haired teen asks me and I nod. "As okay as I can be."

"This is really getting painful," Ben groans, pushing himself to his feet as Bumpy races over to him. "Now that we're off we're gonna look for Trinity aren't we? She could still be—"

"How? We don't even know where she is!" Yaz snaps at Sammy who looks hurt at her tone. She attempts to walk only for her leg to collapse under her weight and she hits the ground. "Yaz!" Brooklynn and Sammy rush over to her and the track star shakes off Sammy's hand.

"Attention. All park-goers must report to the South Ferry Dock for immediate evacuation. Last ferry departs in 60 minutes."

"No chance we can get there in an hour! It's way too far!" Yaz exclaims getting back onto her feet with Brooklynn's help. "Not if we leave right now!" The pink haired girl shouts and Sammy shakes her head. "But Trinity—"
