Our weekdays are pretty routine, but today we were switching it up. Usually, I get up to surf at four in the morning while Ashton's at home with the kids. I get home around seven in the morning then Ashton gets ready and will drive to LA for studio time. But, today both Ashton and I were off so we decided to do some stuff with the kids. We were going up to LA. First, the kids had doctor's appointments, but after we were taking them to the aquarium. We also decided we'd do breakfast at Miss Mary's because we haven't seen her in a while.

Ashton and I got up and dressed first before waking the twins.

With both kids up and ready, we got them settled in their carseats in Ashton's truck.

I climbed into the passenger seat and Ashton backed out and got us onto the highway, heading north to LA.

We parallel parked right in front of Miss Mary's and got the kids out. As soon as we walked in the cafe door, Miss Mary squealed and was running around the counter. Customers were staring but we didn't care,

"Oh look how big you two are getting" MIss Mary aww'd as she hugged Krew and Avery. She then stood and hugged Ashton and I then let us all walk to the counter,

"Let's see, Miss Avery wants a regular muffin with chocolate milk and Mr. Krew wants a chocolate chip muffin and apple juice" she spoke, both the kids giggling and nodding,

"And I know what you two get" she looked at Ashton and me. Ashton laughed and put his credit card into the machine and Miss Mary gave Avery and Krew their drinks and bakery items.

The four of us went and sat and the kids started to eat while Ashton and I waited for ours.

Miss Mary brought Ashton and me our food then pulled a chair up at the end of our booth,

"So why haven't you brought my little babies by in a while?"

"We've been a little busy" I laughed, "Plus you know we live in Huntington Beach now"

"I know. I guess I'm going to have to come to you to see you all"

"You're welcome anytime" Ashton smiled,

"So why are you all in LA? I mean I see Ashton sometimes but not all of you"

"The kids have doctor's appointments and then we're taking them to the aquarium" I answered,

"We see fishies!" Avery piped in,

"And da shawks" Krew added,

"That is very cool. I'm sure Mommy will take pictures and post them"

After we finished up eating, we had to head out quickly for the kids' appointments.

We pulled into the kids' doctor's office parking lot and found a spot. Ashton and I climbed out, each opening one of the back doors. I got Krew while Ashton grabbed Avery and tossed the diaper bag on his bag. We started walking in while Avery clutched her stuffed dog, Socks, and Krew clutched his stuffed lion, Milo (don't ask how they picked the names because Ashton and I don't know).

I sat down in the chairs with the kids while Ashton checked them in. Both Avery and Krew were curled up in my lap, heads against my shoulders. They hate the doctor's office as most kids do.

As soon as Ashton sat down, Avery crawled into his lap,

"We get a stick?" she looked up at him with her puppy dog pout she definitely inherited from him. Krew's got the same look,

"I think you both have to get a shot but it will be okay" Ashton kissed her head then leaned over and kissed Krew's.

Krew and Avery were called back. Ashton and I made them walk in front of us as we followed the nurse,

"Okay, let's see who's bigger" the nurse grinned at them as we stopped at the scale,

"Sissy go" Krew pushed Avery forward then leaned into Ashton's legs. Avery got her height and weight and then Krew stepped up,

"Looks like Avery, you are bigger than your brother" the nurse smiled,

"Aww man," Krew stomped his foot as Avery bounced happily as we headed off to an exam room.

After listening to the twins scream the entire time we were in the room, Ashton and I were glad we were out of there and off to the aquarium.

We scanned our tickets and walked in. The kids walked in front of Ashton and me. They were holding hands and pointing to everything as we walked.

The first thing we came across was the penguins. Avery began running in that direction, dragging Krew with her,

"Unca Wuke!" Avery pointed to the penguin,

"That does look like Uncle Luke" Ashton chuckled, squatting down between our kids. I lightly hit the back of his head,

"Go to shawks" Krew whined, stomping his foot like he always does. Ashton and I really need to get him to stop doing that,

"We will Krew" I assured him.

We moved on from the penguins finally and went to the fish and turtles. Avery really liked the turtles.

When we made it to the sharks, Avery was done and wanting to go home, but Krew was excited,

"Go home" Avery pouted as Krew ran up to the tank,

"Baby, this is the only thing Krew asked to see. He didn't whine when we saw what you wanted to see" Ashton sighed. Avery dramatically groaned and laid her head on his shoulder,

"Wonder where she gets it from" I teased making Ashton laugh.

On our way out, we stopped at the gift shop, telling to kids they could each get one thing. Krew immediately grabbed the stuffed shark. I followed Avery as she carefully made her decision. She found a dolphin and grabbed it then we went and met Krew and Ashton at checkout.

The kids were sound asleep by the time we got home. Ashton and I worked together, getting them both in their pjs and into their beds before we made our way to our own.
