I sat on the floor as I packed up stuff in Krew's room. We finally sold the house and are moving to Hawaii in one week. Michael, Crystal, and Noah actually move this weekend, Luke and Sierra in a few weeks, and Calum in about a month.

Anne flew in to help us out too, which I was grateful for considering I can't do a whole lot.

While I worked on Krew's stuff, Anne was doing Avery's, and Ashton was packing what needed to be shipped out to Hawaii, which was things like the kids' bikes and very few furniture pieces. We weren't taking much furniture since we already have brand new furniture in Hawaii.

Everything is pretty much packed. We're doing the last few things today then tonight Ashton's taking it to the shipyard where we have a container on hold for us. We've packed everything except for some clothes and toys that we can easily put in a suitcase when we move. Our container will get there before us so Calihan offered to get everything and take it over to the house. He's got a key so it's very helpful for us.

I finished the last box as Ashton walked into Krew's room,

"That the last of it?" He asked and helped me off the floor,

"Yeah" I sighed, "This makes me sad"

"I know" he hugged me and kissed my head, "But it's what we want and what's best"

I nodded,

"Everything packed?"

"Yeah. I loaded the truck and the Jeep. I just gotta put these boxes in. Mom's gonna follow us to the shipyard in your Jeep with the kids. Then after we drop everything off she's taking the kids home and we're gonna pick up food, which will be Chick-Fil-A because I bribed our children"

I laughed and grabbed my crutches. Ashton picked up the boxes and headed downstairs as I slowly headed down.

As I reached the bottom of the steps, Anne helped me steady myself as the kids ran to me,

"Mommy! Daddy say we get Chick-Fil-A!" Avery jumped,

"I know. But first, we gotta put all our boxes in a really big box" I told her,

"I help! I stwong" Krew spoke and showed up his muscles,

"I'm definitely going to need those muscles" Ashton walked in, picking both the kids up and kissing their cheeks, "Everyone ready?"

We all nodded and headed out. Ashton got the kids buckled into the Jeep and Anne got in the driver's seat. Ashton then helped me up into the truck's passenger seat before he got in and we headed off to the shipyard.

"Do you think Avery and Krew will do okay with the move?" I asked, shifting in my seat. Ashton glanced over and put his hand on my thigh,

"I think they'll do fine. Plus all their aunts and uncles are moving too so we're not taking them away from anyone. Plus they love Hawaii" he assured,

"I think they'll like getting to do their own rooms. I know Avery's excited to have a big girl room" I laughed,

"That makes me kinda sad. I want them to stay little" he pouted,

"I know"

We pulled into the shipyard and Ashton and a few workers got the container loaded. Krew really wanted to help but the workers wouldn't let him- which is understandable. The kids did freak out when they saw their bikes and bigger toys being loaded up, but after telling them they were going to Hawaii they were okay.

Now Ashton and I were in the Chick-Fil-A drive-thru while Anne was at home with the kids.

As we got to the worker, Ashton rolled his window down to order, telling the kid we had a lot to order,

"Alright, so can I get two kids' nugget meals with Sprites. Then a medium mac for those two to share. Then can I get a number one deluxe meal with lemonade, a regular number one meal with a tea, and a spicy deluxe meal with a Coke Zero. Then we need like a bunch of Chick-Fil-A sauce"

The kid successfully put it all in and we paid then proceeded forward,

"The kids will definitely miss this when we move" I laughed,

"I know" Ashton chuckled, "But there are so many other good options in Hawaii"

I nodded and we reached the window. Ashton handed me the drink carrier first which I settled on my lap. Then he grabbed the bags and we put them on the floorboard,

"Now to home"

Krew and Avery were waiting in the driveway with Anne as we pulled in. As soon as we turned the truck off, they were running over.

I opened the door and dropped onto my good leg then balanced on my crutches. I moved out of the way so Ashton could grab the stuff but as I did, Krew flew around the front of the truck and ran into my bad knee,

"Fuck" I yelled, my eyes squeezing shut. The pain was radiating through my entire leg,

"Krew! You gotta be careful buddy" Ashton panicked and grabbed onto me so I didn't fall,

"I-I'm sowwy Mommy" I heard my son cry, telling me to stop my crying.

I calmed myself down, even though I was in dire pain, and looked to my little boy,

"Mommy's okay. It was an accident" I told him. He nodded then carefully hugged me and Ashton grabbed all our food and drinks.

"Are you really okay? Do you need me to get you some pain medicine?" Anne asked as she pulled me aside when we walked in the house,

"I'll be okay. He just ran directly into it" I sighed, "It's just still tender"

She nodded and we headed into the kitchen and sat at the table to eat,

"So, Avery and Krew, are you excited to move to Hawaii?" Anne asked the kids. Ashton and I glanced to each other then to the kids,

"Yeah!" Avery grinned, "I gonna have a pwincess woom!"

"I have Woody and Buzz!" Krew grinned. Hearing their excitement brought relief to Ashton and I,

"Yeah. We're gonna do your big kid rooms as soon as we get there" Ashton promised,

"Yay!" Avery and Krew cheered together,

"And we help" Krew proudly spoke,

"Of course you can help"

After getting the kids settled for the night, Ashton and I got in bed. I got my leg propped up then Ashton rolled over and laid his head on my chest,

"I'm glad the kids are excited about this" he hummed, nuzzling his head against me,

"I know. I think they'll be even more excited when they find out that Noah will be a street away to play with" I smiled and began running a hand through my husband's hair,

"This time next week we will be officially living in Hawaii"

"Living that island life"
