Remus' POV:

It's been awkward to say the least.

The marauders have been acting different with me, as if they don't know what to do with the information about me and Sirius hasn't looked at me at all this month, despite the fact that we share a dorm.

But a big positive did come out of this nightmare, me, Rose and Reg have become the closest of friends, strange since i am two years older than them both but that doesn't seem to matter, it's as if we've been best friends for years. The both of them kept there promises to help me and they have kept the leaf in their mouths the whole month and I am so grateful that I have them both I don't know what I would have done if I was left alone.

Today is the day when Ro and Reg can take out the leaves, well tonight during the full moon, and they are beyond thankful that's for sure.

"Heyyyy" Rose breaks me from my thoughts "Mcgonagall said for us to meet her tonight at around 12 and then hopefully soon we'll be with you" she gestures to Regulus who is sat opposite me engaged in a book
"Speaking of which, how are you feeling about tonight?" Reg puts his book down, it's as if he's moved into this house quite frankly.
"I'm tired but I'll be fine, it's not like it's the first" I fail to lighten the mood and the look of pity is seen as light as day.
"You don't need to pretend Rem" I smile at Ro gratefully, before I met her I didn't have any idea how intelligent she was, I mean not in the conventional sense but she's practically an empath, seems to know what your feeling before you do.
"Thanks Ro, I don't know I just don't like changing when I'm alone, though at least there's less chance of me hurting people I care about" I contemplate out loud
"Well soon you won't be alone and don't worry we'll be fine" Reg nods and then goes back to his book
"What ya reading?" Ro asks him
"Book on the process of becoming an animagus" he robotically answers
"Oooh" Ro jumps onto the arm of the chair, causing Reg to look up at her amused at her enthusiasm.

The better friends we become the more Ro becomes comfortable with us and begins to show her true colours, it's strange how excitable she really is, and how her anxiety attacks are subjective; dependant on who she's with, we've really learnt a lot about each other. Same with Regulus; he is incredibly smart, a fact I had never considered before and he's also very flirty and friendly. He's also very protective with those he cares about.

"Lunch"
"Huh?" Ro sounds
"It's lunch time" Reg repeats
"Oh"
"Should we go to the great hall" I flinch slightly at the request, I haven't been in the great hall since, well, the news got out.
"Yep" I go to sit back down allowing them to go but Ro grabs my arm "come on, you can sit with me" she offers, I take a deep breath and nod soundlessly

Once we enter the great hall we hear the bustling of the crowd; people discussing their weekends or what lessons their enjoying, spells they've read about ; the list goes on but I hear no mention of me in their conversations, gaining a little more confidence i sit down opposite Rose and, to my surprise, Reg. Rose seeing my confusion explains
"Reg doesn't sit with the Slytherins during lunch anymore, and if he doesn't have to sit with the Slytherins during dinner he sits here as well" Reg looks up hearing his name, nods, and then piles his plate, my eyes widen at the amount of food he piles on, he catches my eye
"What? I'm hungry" he shrugs and starts eating, shoving food in his mouth
"Eww, will you use a knife and fork for the love of merlin" comes Rose's response to him, Reg rolls his eyes but obliges, picking up his knife and fork, Rose smiles but then she catches James' eye and groans,
"Rosie go out with me?" He calls and her head hits the table with a

THUD!

"Is that a yes?" James continues, aggravating Reg "I'll make it worth it"
"Hey back off Potty!" Sirius looks up at the sound of his brother and sees us sat together, his face contorts into an unreadable expression so I look away, turning back to Ro, who's head is still on the table, and Reg, who's shaking his head frustrated.

Time skip

Rosetta's POV:

At twelve me and Reg exit the common room and head for Professor Mcgonagall's classroom

"Evening professor" i alert the Professor to our presence
"Come on in you two" we follow the instruction and move to stand in front of her desk "have you kept the mandrake leaf in your mouths for the whole month" we both nod, she looks out the window and then brings over two vials "right put the leaves in these" we do so happily, I'm glad we don't have to keep them in our mouths any longer ergh "right now I am going to add a teaspoon of dew from a place that has had no sunlight and has not been disturbed" she does so quickly and then addresses us about the next steps

"Right so this needs to be put in a dark, quiet place until an electrical storm hits, however until then there is something you need to do" We both listen intently "every sunrise and sunset you must place the tip of your wand to your heart saying the following incantation 'Amato Animo Animato Animagus' you may feel a surge of energy at some point but you are to still repeat this process until the storm, when it hits you are to come here and I will tell you what to do to finish the process" we both nod

"Now here are your notes so you don't get detention, now head to your common rooms, unless you have any questions"
"No Professor" we both respond in sync

We leave the classroom,
"I'll see you at 6" during the last full moon we decided we would leave the castle at 6 to help Rem get to the hospital wing
"I'll meet you in the courtyard" I nod

Once I get into bed, I lay down looking up at the ceiling not being able to sleep due to the fear of what Remus could be doing.

6am

I get out of bed and leave the common room as quietly as I can, I reach the courtyard finding Regulus is already there
"Let's go" we walk out of the courtyard towards the Whomping willow and once I get close I turn and shout
"Now!" Reg runs up and distracts, in a way, the tree whilst I touch the knot effectively stopping its movements and we both slip inside, we walk through the Shrieking Shack finding Remus cuddled up in a corner. I stay near the door as Reg helps Rem change and then we both hold him up and take him to the hospital wing.

"Hello dears, put him on that bed" we do so as quickly as possible "you can see him later" me and Reg nod simultaneously and then leave parting ways.

I hope he's okay.

I looked up the process and incantation of becoming an animagus but it may not be fully accurate, I'm not a hundred percent sure
