121 - NEWTs and an end of year offer

Rosetta's POV:

"I almost fell asleep in that exam" i tell Kayla as we walk away from the dreaded History NEWT
"You and me both" she sighs
"How did it go for you?" I ask
"No idea" she responds "don't care anyway it's of no importance to me"
"Yeah same here" we laugh as we head to the library waiting for our next exam, Transfiguration. "You nervous for the Transfiguration exam" she shrugs
"Why are you?" She asks
"A bit" I admit and she hums in response to show she's listening still.

We study for half an hour before the exam and then we head to the Great Hall for the exam, I bump into several people on the way as I continue to read my notes trying to soak up a couple more facts before I go in.

Timeskip

It wasn't as bad as I thought actually, I remembered the stuff on the exam and I successfully managed to turn the tortoise into a trumpet so I feel good about that exam.
"I managed to turn the tortoise into a trumpet but the actual paper was so difficult" Reg says as he joins me outside waiting for Kayla
"Really, I didn't mind the paper"
"Your better at Transfigurations than me" I nod
"True, one of the only subjects I'm better at"
"That's was horrible" Kayla simply responds as she starts walking away to the point that we have to jog to keep up.

Timeskip - 17th June

They just had to leave the worst exam for last didn't they, I only have one exam today; Defence Against the Dark Arts.

"How are you feeling?" James finds me in the library getting in some last minute revision
"Terrible, I'm so nervous" I tell him truthfully
"You'll do fine, how are you on the Seventh year stuff?" He asks
"I know about the dementors and the manticore, luckily Reg went over the Manticore with me so I made sure to learn that, I just hope I can remember everything else."
"Well put the books away and chill for now, you won't be able to learn anything else now so just chill and then when you sit down in the room that's when you should remember everything" he kisses my head softly
"I love you"
"I love you too Rosetta Evans" I have to stop myself from laughing as he says my full name, I don't even know how that's funny.

James walks me to the hall and then leaves shouting
"Good Luck!" I blush embarrassed as I head to my seat
"You have two hours good luck you may begin" the woman at the front starts the exam I turn the paper squinting my eyes terrified but when I see the first question
'What makes a Manticore so dangerous?' I grin, I know this.

Timeskip

I walk out of the exam feeling somewhat confident, I don't bother waiting for the others as I look around the castle trying to find James.

I find him on the quidditch pitch with Sirius
"James!" I call and he turns around at the sound of his name
"Rose how did it go?" He asks and I go to answer but Sirius cuts in
"How did what go?" He asks
"Defence Against the Dark Arts exam, it went a lot better than expected" i tell him trying not to squeal.
"There you are, Dumbledore's wants to see us" Kayla calls sounding out of breath
"Coming" I reply "I'll see you two later" I wave and follow Kayla all the way to Dumbledore's office "do you know why he wants us?" I ask her
"Nope, though I do know he called Reg, Rory and Rosalie as well" she shrugs as we head in
"Take a seat you two" Dumbledore instructs and we do so quickly eager to find out what this is about "okay so you know that a war is coming" we all nod solemnly "well over the past few years I have started a group called the Order of the Pheonix" oh no "we are a group who are working together to stop Voldemort" he pauses "I am telling you this, as you've probably worked out by now, as you are the top students in your year along with a select few others who I have spoken to personally, because we would like your help."
"Yes" Reg states straight away, Dumbledore turns and nods at him "it's not even a question, we have to fight for what is right"
"Your brother reacted the same" Dumbledore's tells him
"Can't say I'm surprised" Reg comments
"Glad to have you aboard"
"I'm in" Kayla announces and Dumbledore nods at her
"I'm in" Rosalie states "I want to prove that I'm loyal" she nods
"I am very impressed Miss Parkinson" she smiles appreciatively. Dumbledore turns to me, the look in his eyes almost seems like he expects me to say yes.
"No" I shake my head and my friends turn to me shocked as I cross my arms over my chest "not a chance, my boyfriend is already involved in this and I'm not doing the same. I won't stop him from helping but I'm not doing it, I'm not using my magic if I don't have to"
"I'm with Rose" Rory agrees "I've had enough drama to lay me a lifetime I want to have as quiet a life as I can" I nod and Dumbledore looks disappointed
"You two are very strong and could help many people" he tells us
"With all due respect we can help people without getting involved in that group besides the last time we tried to do something so big we almost died"
"It's your choice" he responds "thank you for your time, all of you, I will see you three" he turns to the others "soon and good luck you two" he turns to me and Rory and we nod in response.

The other three try talking to us but we're not listening, Rory wants a quiet life and so do I.
