Rosetta's POV:

Lily has nipped back to get some stuff as well as the rest of the family as i reorganise my stuff to allow Lily some space to put her stuff.

Once they are back they spend time unpacking as me and James chill in the library. It's not long before we here someone apparate outside

"It's time" I squeak as I see Remus and Sirius coming "he's going to propose tonight" I jump up and down like a kid who's just been told they can have an ice cream
"Come on" James grabs my hand and we go downstairs to meet them. I hug Sirius first much to everyone's shock
"I'm so excited" I whisper in his ear and when I pull back I wink and he rolls his eyes "Rem!" I give him a big hug
"Hello you two, I'm going to go and finish dinner so just chat for twenty five minutes" Mia says from the doorway

Me and James give the two there present from us and they give us ours, we had decided to get each other his and hers or his and his towels as a joke. We all laugh and join in on a group hug.

"Reg" Sirius hugs his younger brother, it's so good to see them getting along.

We all sit down as my mum breaks the silence
"So you must be Sirius?"
"Yep the one and only" I roll my eyes
"I'm Rose, Rory and Lily's mum Penelope and this is there dad Ray"
"Nice to meet you" he politely responds

We finally sit at the table and start eating
"It looks wonderful" my mother gushes
"Why thank you, I do enjoy to cook it's very relaxing"
"I agree" the two mothers continue to chat whilst the two fathers consider the differences between muggle and Wizard sports
"This'll be a great Christmas"
"Getting all sentimental James" i tease him
"Oh shut up you" he pokes me on the nose
"I hear wedding bells" our mothers squeal from down the table
"Mum!" Me and James whine together and we both laugh until we notice our friends mocking us.
"Haha" I roll my eyes "I'm happy I don't care" I lay my head on James' shoulder
"You two are just too cute" Remus gushes
"Hey we're way cuter than them" Sirius interferes
"It isn't a competition" I speak up

"Well everyone let's raise a glass to the best Christmas" Mia speaks and we all cheers
"Merry Christmas" we all speak as we continue to laugh and joke around. Once we finish we are completely full, so full that we decide to have dessert later.
We all head to the ball room and Mia puts on some Christmas music to which my parents start dancing too, followed by James' parents
"May I have this dance?" James bows, I grin and take his hand, he pulls me to his chest and we dance together forgetting there is anyone else in the room. I look up for a moment to see Sirius and Remus dancing together
"There so happy"
"Yeah they are but so are we and one day it'll be our turn and I'll get down on one knee and offer you the world" I blush profusely
"What did I do to deserve you?" I mutter as I lay my head against his chest listening to his heartbeat

"May I have everyone's attention" Sirius speaks up and I grin uncontrollably "This has been such an amazing Christmas so far and I have all of you to thank for that." he pauses getting a little emotional "when I was young, on Christmas Day, I would wish for two things, one for someone to get me out of that violent and abusive home which I can thank you, Mia and your family for. The second was to one day have a family of my own, someone to love, someone to one day have kids with. I wanted to prove to everyone that thought all us Blacks were heartless that I was capable of love. Who was the person to bring this dream to life but the love of my life and my best friend, Remus" Remus blushes as he turns to me but what he doesn't notice is Sirius has gone down on one knee "so my one true love" Remus turns back around and his mouth drops open in complete shock "will you do me the honour of becoming my husband?" He asks as his eyes fill with tears and honestly it looks like Rem is getting to that point as well as Sirius opens the ring box. Rem covers his mouth with his hands and nods before shouting
"Yes!" Sirius slips the ring onto his finger and we all congratulate them
"To Remus and Sirius, congrats" James raises his glass to the two and we all follow doing the same
The two share a deep meaningful kiss and once they separate Sirius comes and grabs James and Remus approaches me
"Did you know?" He asks chuckling
"That's what he told us on the beach" i tell him
"I'm engaged!" he cheers showing me the beautiful ring
"Yes you are" I hug him and then we dance together for a couple of songs as we talk about wedding ideas such as flowers, themes and other important stuff like the suit.
"May I cut in?" Sirius approaches us
"Of course" the two start dancing as my boyfriend wraps his arms around my waist, I turn in his arms to face him.

Timeskip

We play games, dance and just have so much fun, we are all dancing again in the ballroom as it strikes midnight.

I look up to find a piece of mistletoe above me and James
"It is tradition" I put on a mock posh voice
"Of course" he leans down and places his lips on mine, my lips move with his in complete ecstasy.

This boy will be the death of me.
