Third Person's POV

In Erebor, Thorin gazes upon the throne, over which the Arkenstone had been inlaid before it was lost. He speaks to Balin, Dwalin, and Bilbo, who are behind him.

"It is here in these halls - I know it"

"We've searched and searched" Dwalin tried to reason with him, but was cut off by the dwarven King's rising temper.

"Not well enough!" He snarled. His back was still turned to them, but they could tell he was succumbing to the dragon's sickness.

"Thorin, we would all see the stone returned" Dwalin tried again, but was cut off once more.

"Yet, it is still not found!"

"Do you doubt the loyalty of anyone here?" Balin asked and Thorin turned to him.

"The elf. That filth was in there and she ran!" He hissed as Bilbo looked down.

"Thorin, the Arkenstone is the birthright of our people. Aeradriel was loyal to your father and is to you. She would not take it" Balin told him and Thorin stopped walking forward.

"It is the King's jewel. Am I not the king!" He shouted and they all looked at him in shock at his sudden outburst. "Know this... If anyone should find it and withhold it from me, I will be avenged" As he said this he walked away leaving them all questioning and looking worried for the King.

The backlands to the west of Erebor

An army over 1,000. Elves, men and dwarves march through the backlands of the Misty Mountains. The elves had swords strapped to their sides, bows and arrows across their backs and long knives. The men held shields, swords and some held throwing spears. The dwarves held axes, shields and numerous other weapons. Most men rode on horses and so did a portion of elves.

In the front of the army was two elven warriors armed in black clothing with golden armour on their shoulders and torso. Both having whiteish - blonde hair. One with golden eyes and the other with blazing blue eyes.

"Tubī, īlon kipagon naejot vīlībāzma!" {Today, we ride to war!}

"Naejot vīlībāzma!" {To war!}

"Do you think she will meet us?" Theran asked the older Ellon to his left.

"We sent Aerion to get her, of course she will" Virion answered him as they neared closer Erebor.

Erebor

Bilbo is sat on a bench in a hall. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled something out. Thorin, walking in an adjoining hallway, sees the action

"What is that?" Thorin asked striding quickly to Bilbo. The startled hobbit jumped up his eyes widening. "In your hand"

"It... It's nothing" The hobbit stuttered.
