"I heard she killed Romilda Rosier"

"That's made up"

"No my father saw her at the Ministry"

"I heard she was under the Imperius curse"

"No that was made up"

"Who even let her come back to the school?"

"I heard her father bribed Dumbledore"

"I heard her father is Dumbedore"

"That's just thick"

"Well so is killing someone"

"She's a slytherin"

"Not all slytherins are bad"

"The ones with death eater parents and brothers are"

"But she kissed Remus Lupin in the middle of breakfast"

"I remember"

"Don't be daft she was under the Imperius curse"

"I heard she has the dark mark"

"I heard she's You Know Who's number two"

"I heard she's already killed dozens"

I heard. Those two words came before every rumor about Selene Rowle. Every single rumor.

Ever since she set foot off the train, everyone in the school had an opinion on her. Everyone had heard something, and said something else to say. Even the Professor exchanged conversation on the subject.

Selene didn't care, or didn't want to at least. She didn't stoop to their level and flip them off or give them dirty looks no matter how much she wanted to. But she didn't have to.

Sirius, Peter and James were making obscure faces and flashing their middle fingers at any students with the girl's name in their mouth.

Remus was fuming as they walked between tables to their spot at the Gryffindor table near Marlene, Lily, and Mary. Selene was gripping Remus hand tightly, silently warning him not to punch the shit out of everyone in the Great Hall.

The second Marlene and Lily saw Selene they scrambled off the bench and rushed towards her engulfing her int he biggest three way hug ever.

Others started whispering and adverted their disgusted gazes as if it was a crime to watch someone be nice to Selene. But Lily and Marlene couldn't care less. They hugged Selene in the middle of the Great Hall and all the stares.

"Come on let's get the fuck out of here" Marlene said glancing around

"Marlene!" Lily shrieked

"Evans I'll punch you in the throat" Marlene threatened as she dragged Selene out of the hall.

"I see nothing's changed between you two" Selene laughed as the boys followed the three girls out of the hall

"Nope"

"Absolutely nothing" Marlene grinned. They dragged Selene through the hallways ignoring long stares from bystanders, into the common room and up the stairs only to be stopped by the marauders half way up the steps,

"Oi!" Sirius called

"How are we supposed to get up?" James asked

"Not our problem" Lily shrugged

"Yeah you've done it before" Selene laughed

"Can we just go to our room instead?" James suggested
