92. slug club pt. 1

december 16, 1977 

"For the last time Sirius, no I will not tell you what I got Remus for Christmas!" Selene huffed as the two walked down the hallway

"I didn't even ask you to!" Sirius defended "But if you wanted to tell me that'd totally be okay, I'm a great secret-keeper"

"Why do you even want to know so bad?"

"You know what" Sirius tilted his head up and pursed his lips "I'm not going to tell you that, since you won't tell me" he crossed his arms 

"You won't tell me, or you aren't allowed to tell me?" Selene smirked as she stopped walking 

"I'm not allowed to tell you" Sirius corrected his previous statement. Selene rolled her eyes

"But I will tell you another story about somebody completely different who you don't know?" Sirius smirked mischievously

"Okay..."

"So there's this random guy, who you don't know and he got this gift for his girlfriend, who's this really annoying piece of work, I mean you should see-"

"Sirius" she warned

"Totally kidding, she's a goddess but he, the boyfriend, is freaking out over wether this gift he got is good enough, so he sent his extremely handsome friend of his to try to figure out what said girlfriend got him, so he can stop throwing things at the best friends face"

"Oh for fuck's sake" Selene rolled her eyes

"So you'll tell me?" Sirius asked hopefully

"No. Go tell Remus to stop acting like a child because Merlin knows I'll like anything he gets me" she started walking away

"But did you hear the part about the throwing things? Do it for my face Selene" Sirius pleaded

"Yeah good luck with that"

"UGH" Sirius groaned dramatically. Selene kept walking through the halls until she found Lily reading near the quad. 

"Hey" she called out as she approached her

"Oh hey Selene" Lily smiled, leaning against the stone wall

"Are you going to Slug Club tonight?" Selene asked 

"Unfortunately yes, are you?"

"Yeah I skipped the last three"

"Ahh"

Slug Club was one of those things that a secret boyfriend wasn't good for, so during sixth year and before that Selene would spend those parties with "Slughorn's most favorite student" Regulus Black. 

It actually wasn't half bad once they figured out to pregame, sneak more alcohol in and manage to get out before anyone caught them, and there was always some drunken dancing in between. 

It would actually be the first Slug Club party Selene was attending since she went with Regulus last year. She had to admit it was going to be a little weird not chugging firewhiskey from a flask when no one was watching.

Not that she couldn't still do that, but it wasn't the same. 

Selene had been feeling that a lot lately. It might have been crazy to say but she missed her Slytherin days. 

Gossiping with Cissa, hanging out with Regulus and Sadie and then sneaking away to be with Remus. 

It was simple. Even though it was only a year ago, she'd been forced to grow up so much since then.
