"hi, excuse me, are you okay?" says a voice.
i look up and see luna lovegood.
i've always admired her, her free spirit and kind heart.
"uh yea, yes i'm alright! thank you for asking." i say
"y/n it's not good to lie." luna says.
"fine, harry told me that him and cho kissed. he cheated luna, he cheated! it wasn't fair." i say, starting to cry again.
she pulls me in for a hug and we stay like this for a while.
it's quite nice honestly.
"are you feeling any better?"
"yes, thank you luna, for everything."
"of course y/n! it was no trouble." she says.
i pull away and i'm met with her beautiful eyes.
she reaches up to my cheek to wipe away my tears.
we look into each other's eyes for while until we start to move closer.
it is all happening in slow motion.
then, we kiss.
it's not like a kiss me and harry have shared before, it's sweet and calming.
sparks are practically flying everywhere and i feel amazing.
i pull away to interlock our fingers.
"let's get back to the great hall, yea?" she says.
"if it means i get to sit near you, i'd love that." i say with a smile.
a genuine one, one i haven't done in a while.
it feels nice.
as we make our way back to the great hall, i pass harry and flip him off.
"we're done, i've found someone much better." i say.
he looks at me shocked, then looks down at my hand in luna's and his eyes become wider.
we walk away and luna says, "i've been wanting to do that for a while love, i mean, kiss you."
instead of wondering 𝐰𝐡𝐲, i just enjoy the moment and squeeze her hand even tighter.
