It had been a couple of days. The party was tonight. I was wearing a suit. I don't really like dresses.

I didn't really like anything formal at all. I had worn my hair down which I haven't done in ages. I walked into the room. There were tons of men and women I barely knew. Tony and Thor were talking to War machine. Sam and Steve were playing Pool. I walked toward Natasha. She was standing at the bar. " hey there" I said sitting on the stool. She looked at me. " Want a drink?" She asked. " might as well." I said. " I like your suit," She said as she grabbed a beer. I smiled as I popped the cap off. I took a swig. Clint came up to me. " Last time I saw you drink you said you wanted a kid," Clint said. I dropped my smile. " Shut up," I said shaking my head. Natasha looked at me. Her smile faded as she looked at me. " I was just... Tipsy. Don't take it seriously" I said to her. She nodded and smiled. I could tell the smile was fake. I took another drink of my beer when someone hit me in the back. I coughed some of the beer onto Clint. He looked behind me. I looked behind me as well. It was Thor. " Tiny Wolf!" He shouted as he held onto my shoulder. I swallowed the beer. " Yes, thor?" I said looking up at him. He smiled. " Here," He said pointing something into my beer. I sniffed it. " What is this?" I asked. " Try it," he said smiling. I looked at Natasha. " Bottoms up," I said then took a swig. I swallowed and coughed. " Ha!" Thor shouted as he watched me cough. Everyone looked toward us. Tony came over. He nudged me. " You guys are in for a treat," He said while laughing. I sighed. " What do you mean?" Bruce asked coming over. " Wolfie here gets real... weird when she drinks," Tony said. " Shut your metal mouth," I said taking another drink. " So that's what you call it?" Clint said. " Why has everyone seen her drunk except for me?" Natasha said. " I haven't," Bruce and Thor said at the same time. Steve came over. " What are you guys doing to poor Axel," Steve said looking at me. They were all surrounding me like pigeons. I hunched over and faced the table. " Wait... Is she?" Steve asked. "no!" I responded. " Yes!" Everyone else said. I looked up. I shook my head at Steve. He smiled and laughed. " I remember when Axel first got drunk," Steve said. Everyone looked at him. " oh god" I said burying my face into my arms. " Come on Cap, spill the beans," Tony said. " She tried to kiss Peggy. Then she knocked out two guys" Steve said. I groaned. Tony laughed. " You tried to kiss Peggy?" He asked. " it was a misunderstanding. I tripped" I said turning around. " Yeah tripped into her face" He said. Everyone laughed. I could feel Natasha looking at me. I looked up at her. She smiled at me. I just looked back down. After a bit of torturing, they all left to go do their own things.

I was sitting at the bar when Natasha walked away. Steve walked forward and sat next to me. " It's nice to see Natasha open up to someone like that," He said. The alcohol had washed out of my system. I was sitting at a table after everyone left. Clint was twirling a drum stick in his hand. Maria was playing cards. Thor's hammer was on the table. Thor and Steve were drinking together. Bruce was watching T.V. " But it's a trick," Clint said. Natasha was next to me. " No, It's much more than that" Thor said. " Ah, whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power" Clint said in a mocking voice. I laughed. " Whatever, man! It's a trick." Clint said. " Well please, be my guest," Thor said pointing at his hammer. " Really?" Clint asked. " Yeah," Tony said. " Oh this is going to be beautiful," Rhodes said. " Clint, you've had a tough week. If you can't lift it we won't hold it against you" Tony said. Everyone laughed. " You know I've seen this before, right?" Clint said. He grabbed the Hammer. He groaned and grunted as he tried to pick it up. Clint laughed. " I still don't know how you do it," He said while laughing. " you smell the silent judgment," Tony said. " please," Clint said referring to the hammer. Tony stood up. He unbuttoned his suit. " Okay," Maria said. " Never one to shrink from an honest challenge" Stark said walking toward the hammer. He kicked my leg as he passed me. " Get after it," Clint said as he sat back down. " It's physics." tony said. " So if I lift it then I rule Asgard?" Tony asked. " yes, of course," Thor said. " I will be reinstituting Prima nocta," Tony said. I looked at Thor. " What makes you so special man? You got like... what? BiCePs?" I asked looking at him. He laughed. " I am the worthy ruler of Asgard. It's simple as that" He said to me. I nodded. " So... An alien?" I said nodding. Natasha hit my chest. I laughed. Tony got out his glove and used his thrusters. He had Rhodes help. After Tony failed. Bruce tried. He looked so stupid trying to do it I almost spit out my drink. After bruce gave up. Steve tried. I stood up. " I'm next," I said getting behind Steve. " go ahead, Steve, Axel. No pressure" Tony said. I chuckled with Steve. Steve pointed at it. I shook my head. " You go first," I said. He nodded. " I will. I will" he said. Steve rolled up his sleeves. He pulled on it. It budged a bit. I tilted my head. " Nothing," Thor said after Steve gave up. " no, no Steve get over here," I said waving I'm over. " What?" he asked. " Come here," I said. He sighed and walked over. " I'm gonna go. Then we're gonna go together huh? Maybe Thor ate someone and has some help?" I said shrugging my shoulders. Everyone around me laughed. " Alright," I said. Steve nodded. I walked up to the hammer. " I'm sweaty," I said wiping my hands on my jacket. Natasha laughed. I put my right hand on the bottom and my left hand on top. I got my feet in a square position. " My father used to say if you put your back into it someone's gonna sweep under your feet." I looked at Tony. " You put everything you've got into one go," I said as I sucked in a deep breath and pulled at the hammer. It slid a bit. I groaned. I let go. " I'm gonna pop a blood vessel doing that," I said out of breath. Everyone was silent. I looked around. " What?" I asked. " Well, son of a bitch" Tony said. " Yeah, Yeah, whatever. Steve. Buddy. Come on" I said. He sighed. " It's not going to work." he said. " yeah yeah whatever," I said. " 3, 2, 1," I said as I pulled. The hammer moved. " Magnets?" I asked as we pulled. " Sure does feel like it," Steve said. My feet started slipping. " I'm gonna fall," I said " what?" Steve asked. My foot slipped. I fell onto my back. The hammer rolled over and fell on my stomach. I groaned. Thor laughed. " Yeah, Not funny," I said as Thor picked up the hammer. " It's simple. You all are not worthy" He said swinging the hammer around. " Steve and I are... somewhat worthy," I said standing up. he nodded at us. " It seems you are a tiny wolf, Tiny man." He said. I scoffed. A high-pitched ringing sounded. I covered my ears. " Stark?" I asked looking at him. He shrugged his shoulders. " Worthy..." An eerie robotic voice said as it walked in. I stood up. " Legion," I said to Stark. " yeah I know," he said tapping on his tablet. " No... How could you be worthy? Your all killers" the robot said. It was dripping oil. It was torn apart. " Jarvis," Tony said. " I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or I was a dream." the robot said. " Reboot Legionnaire OS. We got a buggy suit." Tony said. " there was this terrible noise," The robot said. " Why isn't Jarvis responding?" I said. Tony shook his head. "It needs a manual reboot. I'll try and figure out what's wrong Jarvis." He said. I nodded. I started walking toward the robot." And I was tangled in... In... Strings" It said as I walked toward it. " mhm," I said as I continued walking forward. " I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy." It said. I stopped. " you killed someone?" Steve asked. I looked at Tony. " Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices" The robot mocked. " That's enough" I mumbled walking forward. " Who sent you?" Thor asked. " I see a suit of armor around the world" The robot played. It was Tony's voice. I stopped. I looked back at Tony. He looked at me. " Ultron," Bruce said. " In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission." it said. " What mission?" I asked. " Peace in our time." It responded. Three legion bots burst through the wall. I bent backward and dodged one of them. I sat up. I ran at Ultron. A bot grabbed me and threw me across the room. The others took on some of the other bots. I turned around. One of the bots grabbed the sphere. " It's got the sphere!" I yelled jumping over a couch. " I got it," I said jumping on top of one of the bots. I reached my hand under the legion's head and ripped out its wiring. I watched as the Bot that got the sphere flew away. " that was dramatic" Ultron said. I stood up and looked at him. " I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through." Ultron said as he paced. Everyone met up next to me in front of Ultron. " You want to protect the world. but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve?" Ultron said. he walked toward a dead Legion bot. " With these? These puppets" he said showing everyone the top half of the severed bot. " There's only one path to peace. The Avengers' extinction" he said. Thor threw his hammer smashing Ultron. " I had strings, but now I'm free" Ultron said as his lights faded. I sucked in a deep breath.
