While waiting for all the boys in the lobby Jungkook logged into his Instagram account.
Very few fans knew this that their favorite idol Jeon Jungkook had a personal Instagram account where he was followed by his bts hyungs and some selected people.
He would often log in to scroll through the homepage just to check on his fans' response about his latest work.
Like any other day he was casually going through the posts when one particular article caught his eye :
"ARE JUNGKOOK AND TAEHYUNG IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER? "
Jungkook kept staring at those words..
Wtf wtf wtf
Jungkook knew that sometimes people shipped them but he never thought this would become a news.
The particular article showed some pictures of them being very close to each other and had captions that read "the love is obvious"..
Paranoia instantly gripped him.
No no no this can't be happening.
He was totally lost in his thoughts when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around to find jin.
"we need to leave let's go"
All the boys were in the room where the interview was going to take place.
After a while the host came and the interview started.
"ladies and gentlemen today we have the biggest boy band of this generation.. Please welcome bts"
With that the interview started and the host asked questions one by one which namjoon answered with full confidence
While the interview was going on taehyung causally placed his hand on jungkook's thigh and started rubbing it.
This action reminded jungkook of those pictures he saw in that article few hours ago
No no no if this goes on it will add fuel to those rumours.. People will start writing more about us...
Instantly jungkook grabbed his hand and shoved it away.
Taehyung frowned at this but as the interview was going on he did not react much. But still he was a bit surprised, jungkook never did anything like this.
"so as the name of your album is love yourself why don't you boys tell me one by one what does love mean to you"
One by one the boys gave their answers
"taehyung what do you think"
"I think love is the only thing that has kept this world alive without it it would just be a place of different elements and spices. Love brings in the liveliness. Without love their cannot be life" says tae
"where did you read it from its quite beautiful" asked namjoon
"I read it from my own heart" replied tae
"next time include it in our lyrics" replied suga
And all the boys chuckled except jungkook he was still pissed off due to that article
"jungkook only you are left what do you think"
"I don't believe in it" he said bitterly. All the boys looked at him a bit confused at his behaviour.
"it's something that refrains you from focusing on other things that are important in life... It does not let you think properly and it brings in lots of trouble with it. So it's better to stay away from it" he answered with a straight face
There was a 2 seconds silence in the room and no one said anything. The boys were at a loss. Jungkook never behaves in this way so they were not getting this sudden change in his attitude.
"ha ha ha jungkook is just trying to add flavour to the answers...you know we all were too sweet so he just adding flavour" namjoon said nervously , trying hard to change the topic.
The host got the hint and moved on to the next set of questions.
After the interview was done the boys were back in Jim's room
"man what was wrong with you" asked jin.
"nothing hyung" said jk looking down
Taehyung came and hugged him from the back "it's ok maybe our kookie is a bit disturbed" he caressed jk's hair.
"excuse us hyung I need to talk to tae" with that jk held his hand and dragged him back to their room
The two were alone in their room with the room locked
"what is wrong with you kook?" taehyung was totally at a loss
"look tae you mean a lot to me but i really need you to stop doing all these especially in front of cameras" jungkook said keeping his hands on his waist
"do what???"
Jungkook closed his eyes in frustration and exhaled "touching me or saying lovey dovey things"
TAE chuckled "what is wrong in that kook? We all do that! Till now you or no one else had problem with that and..
" I don't care about others tae" jk didn't let him finish his sentence
"I am talking only about me, now we are a big name we have international fame and such things don't go well in the international media"
"what the hell are you talking about"
TAE was trying to hold on to his patience
Jungkook took out his phone and showed him the article
"this is what I am talking about.. This.. I don't like such articles.. I don't like such rumours.. You really need to stop! Because of your such actions these rumours spread!!"
Taehyung looked at him in disbelief
"why are you so affected by such articles?"
"because this is not true and it will harm my image"
"what if it was true"
"what?"
"yes jungkook what if this was TRUE? what if we were in love with each other? Why are you so afraid of what's being written in these stupid articles??"
"I care because this hampers my reputation.. My career.. I worship my career its everything to me and I will not let anything ruin it.. Nothing"
Taehyung got closer to jungkook and looked straight into his eyes
"you didn't answer me jungkook...what if this article was true what if we were in love with each other"
They both kept looking at each other. The entire room was filled with the growing tension. Not a single sound was being made until jungkook spoke...
"then I would make sure to end that love then and there. Anyday I would choose my career over anything"...
he paused for a second
"The only thing I care about is my career and my image"
and with that he stormed off the room
Those words hit taehyung like a sharp spear. Tears started to form in his eyes. He clenched his jaw, trying hard not to let those tears flow down but it still did.
Just yesterday he wished for his love but today.... Today he wants to go back to that well and make a new wish, may his love always stay one sided. Knowing how much jungkook loves his career and how it is above all, he does not want to be a hurdle for him

That my love shall never come in your way....

"I a-am ss-sorry kook, this will never happen again. I will never come in your way" Taehyung smiles with teary eyes
