Chapter 16

Jungkook kept staring at the boy sitting beside him on the white bed, leaning slightly against the headboard. The room was a bit gloomy due to the yellow lights but his face still seemed to glow.

There he was with his black curly hair covering his head and a little bit of his eyes.

"tae you are back" whispered jungkook

TAE smiled "I never thought you would miss me so much"

"why won't I, you have always been with me you are always there and now suddenly you are gone. I feel your presence every moment tae. The bed seems empty  with you not being here, I can't eat because all I think about is if you have eaten or not....everything reminds me of you"jungkook felt a lump in his throat

Tae put his head on the headboard and looked at him with endearing eyes "do you miss me only because I have always been with you or is it something else" he asks in his deep yet calm voice

Jungkook looks him in the eye. It seemed like jungkook has only one option now that is to say the truth. Even if he tried to lie Tae's piercing eyes will detect it.

He was silent.

"tell me kook, do you miss me just as a friend, a band mate or is it something else"

Just then the door suddenly opens breaking the silence.

Jungkook abruptly looks at the door and rushes towards the person who has just entered the room

"Jin hyung, hyung look he is back tae is back look hyung look" he says excitedly

"kook" Jim utters looking over jk's shoulder

"it's been just a while he ca..."

"kook!" jin said putting hand on the younger's shoulder
"the room is empty" he said as softly as he could, concerned the young one might panic.

Jungkook slowly looked back at the room, it was all empty. His teary eyes scanned through the room, everything was the same but the person was not there.

Jin hugged him tightly from the back.

"it's ok jk it's ok he will be back soon we will find him" he said softly.

Jungkook didn't say anything he just sobbed

"come lets go downstairs you need to eat something"

"you go hyung I will freshen up a bit and then join you"

Jin nodded and left the room, he wanted to give him some space to gather himself together.

Jungkook went to thee washroom and splashed water on his face. He looked at the mirror

Or was it something else

Those words rang in his ears. He closed his eyes

"yes it is something else" he mumbled to himself.

After a while the boys reached a small cafe for dinner. They wanted a break from what has been going on since the last few days so they thought of going out for dinner. The team though had to assure their safety thus they booked the entire cafe and the sign "closed" was hung outside.

Namjoon, bound by the old habit, started to count the members.

"1 2 3 4 5 6" his eyes widened "whe---"

"joon" yoongi lowered RM's finger and smiled. "let's order food"

Namjoon realised it and sat down. He was so used to having those 6 boys around him that now the absence of one is just making him restless.
