Chapter 56-Moon lovers

I couldn't sleep at all,

My mind was running through wild thoughts. I was depressed about the upcoming crisis. Will we be able to do it? Deep down I can feel the panic inside me. I kept turning the pillow upside down to feel the cold surface of it. I'm not ok at all. I know it'll be alright, but still, it's not ok,

My eyes were shut open. From the window, I can see the round silver orb lighting up the sky covered with a starry blanket. It was an alluring spectacle, I wasn't able to calm down. I got down from the bed, pulling down the light, big shirt down, covering my exposed thighs because of the short pants. I gave up trying to get some sleep, instead, I decided to drink a glass of cold water. It'll at least help ease me a bit.

As I enter the kitchen, I saw that someone was already sitting near the kitchen counter.

"Jimin what are you doing here in the middle of the night?" I asked as I switched on the lights. He crooked his eyes to a thin line, adjusting them to the brightness of the light.

"May I ask you the same Miss Y/n? What are you doing in the middle of the night? Stalking through the hallway?" He tried to avoid answering me by backfiring it to me.

I rolled my eyes and stepped near the fridge to grab a water bottle. Breaking the seal of it, I sat face to face with Jimin at the counter. I saw the half emptied glass in his hand. He glanced at me as I got seated.

I heaved a sigh, "I can't sleep, I can't stop thinking about what will happen next," I gulped the cold refreshing water before placing it in the table. I glanced at him,

"Now answer me, what are you doing here? You are having problems with sleeping too?" He hummed as a response.

"I couldn't sleep.Hobi hyung is still awake. He is working on that thing for hours now. I can't just leave him there" He took a sip from his drink.

"It's that the only reason?" He shook his head sideways denying it. "To be honest, I'm bit panicked," he sighed "Just..I'm not scared of what happens to me, I just fear for you guys," His face was clouding with nervousness.  I stared at the water droplets that were forming in the glass bottle, immersing in my thoughts.

Even he's scared, at least a little bit. Everyone was. No one could assure us that we would hundred percent succeed in this fight. I stared at no where with a heavy head. For a minute, it was a silence between us. Jimin's voice broke the silence,

"But I know Namjoon hyung's plans will never fail" I glanced at him as he talked, "I trust him and  I trust you," He said with a small smile plastered on his face. We were first rivals, then friends, now I have become their saviour. The destiny lead us to situations and relationships we never imagine.

"You know what? that's the most nicest thing you ever said to me," I chuckled at him. He laughed at my statement,

"Y/n, I'm sorry for the way I acted back then. I was a huge jerk, Jesus, who knew you were a girl, I swear that I'm a gentleman and I know how to respect women," He tried to defend himself by apologising. I couldn't hold my laughter when I saw his face, shading red with embarrassment. He awkwardly laughed,

Those days he really did let me have it. But I will never forget how he risked his life for me. Everyone did it for me. I am the one who should apologize to everyone here.

I gazed at him, "Jimin, you don't have to be sorry. You guys have done more than enough for me, You sheltered me, treated me like your own family and you even risked your lives for me" I smiled warmly at him "I'm so grateful for you,"

Talking with him helped to move from my restless state. I could tell that he looked relaxed too. We didn't talk about what'll happen next. We just talked about random things that helped us both to get over the stress. After talking for a while Jimin stood up from his seat brushing off his shirt.
