51 has just dragged Kelly away from Harper's room and have sat him down in the waiting room. Dawson has gone to get him some water whilst Casey sits next to him. Kelly's mind just won't stop
"What if she doesn't make it?! How am I supposed to tell the kids? Let alone aria? How would i cope! I'm nothing without her!" Kelly's mind says
"Hey! She's gonna be fine! Shes a fighter! We all know that!" Boden says noticing Kelly looking a little distracted
"Look I'm sorry but screw this! I'm done!" Kelly shouts as he walks out
"Kelly!" Dawson shouts but he just keeps on walking
Kelly gets in his car and starts to sob but the anger comes out more than the sadness. He speeds to the nearest bar that isn't mollys and runs in. He sits down at the bar
"Give me a scotch! Neat!" Kelly says frustrated as the barman slides him his drink
Kelly has about 5 of these when the bartender notices
"Look! Whatever your going through! Like your girlfriend ditching you for some guy! It's not worth the hangover!" The bartender says taking his empty glasses
"God I wish it was! My wife's dying! And I'm here drinking my life away!" Kelly says as he takes another sip of his drink
"That's rough man! What happened? Cancer? Stroke?" The bartender says as he refills Kelly's glass
"Trapped in a burning building! That was set by her boss! Never get a career in the CFD! It's not worth it!" Kelly says as he downs his next drink
"I'm sure working in the emergency services is worth it!" The bartender says confused
"God it's not! All the PTSD? Watching someone you love burn in a fire? Loosing someone that you've just met? A chance of not coming home to your family one day? And all for what? Some lousy money?" Kelly says as he runs his hand through his hair
"Yeah well I think you should get home! Your tabs on me!" The bartender says as Kelly stumbles out the door
As he walks out he notices someone leaning against the wall
"Drinking your problems away?" Casey says walking over to him
"What else would you expect from me?" Kelly says as he stumbles even more
"I'm a lousy man who doesn't have the guts to go see his dying wife in the hospital? Who leaves his kids with his dad on a daily basis?" Kelly says as he sits on he sidewalk
"Hey! Your not lousy! And yeah it's hard seeing someone you love rot in a fire! Especially when it's your wife Kelly! No one is expecting you to be Mr Perfect all the time!" Casey says as he sits next to him
"I'm Mr Perfect none of the time! I'm a lousy drunk! Who thinks neat scotch can fix his problems!" Kelly shouts
"Come on! Let's get you home!" Casey says concerned
