It's the next day and Harper is on shift
"What do we want for breakfast ladies and gentlemen!" Harper says enthusiastically
"It's 7 in the morning! Tone it down a little!" Gabby says
"When you have 2 three year olds who wake up at 5 every single morning you get used to it!" Kelly says as he walks in
"I'm making waffles!" Harper says as she grabs the ingredients
Harper gets on with breakfast until
"Is this firehouse 51?" A boy asks standing at the door
"Yeah" Casey replies confused
"Great! I'm Johnny Miller! The new member on squad 3?" Miller says as Kelly walks in
"Miller!" Kelly says smiling
"This is my buddy over from 67! He's gonna be on squad with us! Let me introduce you to everyone!" Kelly says as they go around everyone until they get to Harper
"And who is this lovely lady?" Miller asks
"This is the most important person in the world! Introduce your self honey" Kelly says
"I'm uhh...Paperwork! I gotta get it in for Boden!" Harper says as she hurry's away
"Don't take it personally" Casey says as Kelly stands there shocked
Harper hurries off to her quarters. She didn't have paperwork to do. She just couldn't face someone taking Cruz's spot on squad. She knew she had to move on but this quick?
"What the hell was that?" Kelly asks standing at the door of her quarters
"I needed to do paperwork! Is that such a crime!" Harper replies
"It's about Cruz isn't it?" Kelly asks
But Harper doesn't respond
"You need to move on Harper! That was a month ago! Just because you left Otis's spot open for months doesn't mean I have to! I can move on! You still haven't moved on from Otis" Kelly shouts angrily
"Okay" Harper says as she walks out with tears in her eyes
"Say something damn it!" Kelly shouts
But Harper keeps walking but with tears rolling down her cheeks
"Okay! Walk away! Just like you always do!" Kelly shouts but Harper is gone
"Did I cause that?" Miller asks after hearing Kelly shouting
"It's a regular thing...You'll get used to it" Casey says lying
Harper is sitting on a wall outside the firehouse looking at the cars pass by
"You okay" Dawson asks
"Yeah" Harper says as Dawson sits next to her and hands her a cup of coffee
"You kinda skipped breakfast...Tell me what's going on honey" Dawson says
"It's only been a month! Do they need to replace him that quick?" Harper asks avoiding eye contact
"Squad isn't like truck! You can't delay!" Dawson says
"I know...Hey I'm fine! Just being silly!" Harper says as she wipes her tears and walks back in
Dawson watches her walk away with a worried look on her face
