Chapter 34 - Not the new's she had hoped for...

It's an hour after Harper got the results and she is on her way home
"I'm home" Harper shouts as she opens the door
"Hey!" Kelly says as he smiles
"Where's the kids?" Harper asks
"Benny took them for ice cream" Kelly adds as Harper sits next to him
"I have to tell you something" Harper says as she takes his hands in hers
"Don't tell me your divorcing me!" Kelly says as he laughs
"I'm pregnant" Harper blurts out
"What?! That's incredible!" Kelly says enthusiastically
"I'm only 13 weeks and I'm not telling the kids until at least 20! I have an appointment tomorrow with Dr.Manning" Harper says as she stands up
"Hey! We've got this" Kelly says as he looks at her with a smile on his face
It's the next morning and Harper is on shift. She wants to tell the firehouse. So she sets up her big thing which isn't as big as last time.
"Okay! What do yall want for breakfast?!" Herrmann asks
"I don't care what you cook just get it made!" Boden says as everyone laughs
"Hey?" Herrmann says as he opens the oven
"What?" Harper asks trying not to smile
"There's a bun in the oven?" Herrmann adds
"A bun?" Boden adds
"Oh shoot! Wrong oven!" Harper says as she gets her test out
"What?" Capp says as Harper puts her hands on her belly
Everyone turns around to see the test and they all start cheering
"No way!" Boden says
"Yes way!" Harper says as she smiles
Boden gives Harper a hug followed by the rest of 51
"Your gonna do great!" Casey says as he smiles
Later on that day Harper is headed to the hospital for her appointment. Dr. Manning calls her in and Harper lays there
"How many now?" She says
"This is gonna be the 5th" Harper adds as she lifts up her top
"Hands down to you, I think it's hard having 1" Dr.Manning says as she puts the gel on Harper's belly
Dr.Manning does all the checks and her heart drops when she discovers something
"Harper" She says
"What is it?" Harper asks as she sits up
"Your pregnancy hormone, it's damaged from your last pregnancy. This one isn't going to last honey. I think your gonna miscarry during the next few weeks" Dr.Manning says as Harper feels all the colour drain out of her face
"Okay but did you know the gender?" Harper asks holding back the tears
"It's a little girl" Dr.Manning adds as Harper smiles
"So I can think of a name. She can't go nameless" Harper adds before getting cleaned up and walking out
Harper isn't going to tell Kelly as she thinks that's what's best. She heads back to the firehouse pretending that everything is okay....
