Chapter 41 - What the hell is going on with you?

Kelly storms out and passes Casey
"What's his problem?" Casey asks as he turns on the tap
"I don't know but he's definitely hiding something" Harper adds as she jumps down and walks out
"Truck 81, Squad 3, Multiple vehicle car accident, Southbank street" The intercom echoes throughout the firehouse
Harper rushes out and they drive to the scene. When they arrive they can see 2 vehicles which have collided. There is a fire starting where they are connected
"Severide this is your call" Harper shouts as she puts on her helmet
But Kelly is zoned out
"Severide!" Harper says raising her voice a little
But there's no response and everyone is looking at him
"Kelly!" Harper shouts as Kelly snaps out of it
"Uhh yeah! Get those hoses on that fire" Kelly orders as everyone looks at him
"That's gonna burn them alive!" Harper adds
"Oh right.. Uhh" Kelly says
"I'm taking the lead on this one! Squad get the victims out of car 2! They have the least extensive injury's." Harper orders
"Copy that!" Capp shouts as they run to get the tools
"Truck! We will take car 1! Get the girl out first! I'm going in!" Harper shouts
"But the fire?" Amelia adds
"I can't get paramedics in right now! And I'm the only thing that's going to help them survive" Harper says before running and hopping in
Harper climbs in and gets next to the woman. The woman has a pneumothorax and the air needs to be drained.
"How long for that door?" Harper asks
"At least 5 minutes" Herrmann replies
"I've not got 5 minuets!" Harper shouts as she thinks
"I need a needle to do a chest drain!" Harper orders
Herrmann runs and grabs one from the paramedics and hands it to Harper
"Here goes nothing" Harper says as she pokes the needle into the girls chest relieving the air and pressure
Everyone lets out a sigh of relief and goes back to their job. They get the victims out and arrive back at the firehouse
"I see you've still got the paramedic in you?" Dawson says as she laughs
"Little rusty not gonna lie" Harper says as she slips off her trousers
"From what I heard you saved that girl from dying" Dawson says as Harper notices Kelly
"Hold on one sec" Harper says as she follows Kelly
Kelly walks into the bathroom and Harper walks in after him
"What the hell was that?" Harper asks slightly annoyed
"What?" Kelly says coldly
"That was a squad call! You were meant to make those decisions! Not me!" Harper shouts
"You have the training! God you had my job for a year!" Kelly shouts
"What the hell is going on with you! I had to call you 3 times for you to answer me today! You've been distant! Am I doing something wrong here?" Harper screams
"I told you I'm fine! Your not my wife on shift remember so give it a rest!" Kelly shouts as Harper looks at the ground
"No harper I didn't-" Kelly says grabbing Harper's hand but she pulls away
"No! I get it! I'm not your wife on shift! So I'll leave you too it!" Harper says as she walks out
Kelly's anger fills up inside of him that he punches the mirror in front of him....
