Chapter 8 - Happy Families

A week has gone by and things are still rough between Kelly and Harper. But they have still kept their promise and have not shown it in front of the kids
"Aria! Hurry up! We're gonna be late!" Harper shouts
But aria doesn't respond
"Aria Leslie Severide get your but down here!" Harper screams
Once again aria doesn't respond
"Aria! Listen to your mother! Get your ass down here before I take everything away from you!" Kelly shouts as he snaps
Just then aria comes running down
"I'm sorry! Please dad I didn't hear you!" Aria says clearly upset
"Go and get your IPad! Your not having it for a week! The way you disrespected your mum is unacceptable!" Kelly shouts
"Your iPad isn't getting taken away from you! Now go get your shoes on!" Harper whispers as aria skips away
"What happened to playing Happy family?" Harper asks before shaking her head and walking out
Harper then drops aria off and heads to the hospital. She has been working hard to try and get cleared for duty. She does all her tasks with no help at all and the doctor clears her. She checks the time as she is walking out and can make it to shift. She arrives during morning briefing
"Sorry!" Harper says as she sits down
"Harper?!" Boden says shocked
"Oh yeah I was cleared for duty! But continue!" Harper says smiling
Boden continues until...
"Truck 81, House fire, Hollywood Street" The intercom says
Harper rushes out and they all load up. When they arrive they can see a small kitchen fire
"Guys just get the hoses on that! Everyone's out!" Harper orders as she hears something unusual
She walks and follows the sound until it leads her to an ally way. She can see a little girl sitting in the corner
"Hello honey! What's your name?" Harper asks calmly but keeping her distance
"Hi! I'm Laura!" Laura says smiling
"Hello Laura! I'm Harper! Can you tell me how old you are honey?" Harper asks
"I'm 5! No wait 4! Or 3?" Laura says confused until Harper notices a tag on her side
"I'm Laura! And I suffer from short term memory loss! So please take care of me if you see me! And don't be upset if I don't remember you!" The tag says
"Can you remember who I am Laura?" Harper asks getting down to Laura's level
"No? Are you my mommy? Or my sister?" Laura asks
"Well I'm Harper! And it's super cool to meet you!" Harper says as she writes her name on Laura's hand
"No you can always remember my name! Just like I can remember yours!" Harper says smiling
"Harper!" Laura says as she reads the name on her hand
"Now! How about you come with me and we can find your parents?" Harper says putting her hand out and Laura takes it
Just then she can hear shots being fired and it's coming from the house that is on fire
"Herman! Amelia! Do you copy?" Harper shouts through her radio but no one replies
