Chapter 9 - Sacrafice

"Okay! Laura! Have you ever been in a firetruck?" Harper asks talking Laura's hand
Laura shakes her head
"Great! Come on and you can sit in my truck!" Harper says as she runs round to the truck
Harper lifts Laura up and sits her in the truck
"Now how good are you at video games?" Harper asks getting her phone out of her back pocket
"Really good!" Laura replies
"Okay great! Here's my phone and you can play whatever you want on it! Okay?" Harper says as she passes the phone to Laura
"Thank you!" Laura says smiling
Harper then smiles and closes the door
"This is truck 81 to main! I need police back up at my location, shots were fired and 2 of my men are inside!" Harper says through her radio
"Copy that Captain!" Main replies
Harper can then hear more shots going off
"That son of a bitch!" Harper shouts
Harper then runs in without thinking. She walks in slowly making sure she doesn't make too much noise. She walks into the kitchen until she spots Herrmann and Amelia sitting on the floor
"Are you guys okay?" Harper says
"Harper!" Herrmann says
"Captain! Don't move!" Amelia shouts as Harper can feel a gun against her head
"Put your hands up sunshine!" The man shouts
"Okay! But I'll put them up if you let them go!" Harper shouts
"What was that?" The man shouts as Harper recognises the voice
"I said let them go!" Harper shouts
"And why should I do that!" The man says digging the gun into Harper's head
"Because! Amelia is only 26! She has the rest of her life to live!" Harper shouts looking at a Amelia
"Captain your only 33!" Amelia says crying
"Shut up! That's an order! And Herrmann has 5 kids at home! Who are waiting for him to come home! Let them go and you can have me!" Harper shouts as they man walks over and unties them
Harper keeps facing the floor as Herrmann and Amelia run past her
"Captain?" Herrmann says worried
"There's a girl sitting in our truck! Her names Laura! She's delicate! Take care of her! And don't let her go until I'm out! In a body bag or not!" Harper says as she lets out a nervous smile
"Will do Captain" Herrmann says as they run out
Herrmann and Amelia run out to see cop cars scattered everywhere and squad has just pulled up
"Where is she?" Kelly shouts as he runs over
"She ran in! Sacrificed herself for us!" Amelia says still shaking
"How could she be so stupid!" Kelly shouts angrily
"She's not stupid! She just can't go through loosing another firefighter! She would die before any of us!" Herrmann says before walking over to the truck
Herrmann opens the door to discover Laura
"Hey there! I'm Herrmann and Harper sent me to take care of you!" Herrmann says smiling
"Hello! I'm Laura!" Laura replies
*Inside with Harper*
Harper finally looks up and looks at the man who is reloading his gun 
"Dad?" Harper says shocked
