Chapter 14 - Lost

"All units, Warehouse Fire, Kings Park" The intercom says
"Oh no" Harper mutters under her breath
They all run out and suit up. They jump in their trucks and truck is first to leave
"Okay! You all know the drill! This ones gonna be a big one! Have each others backs in there! I'm not having anymore men dying on me!" Harper says
"Got it Captain!" Amelia shouts
Truck then arrive on scene. They can see a building that is already full of flames. The structure doesn't look that steady either
"Okay people! We've been here before! Squad take orders from Captain Severide! Engine from Captain Casey and truck from Captain Bailey!" Boden shouts as truck companies gather around Harper
"Okay! Try and stay with your Truck company as much as you can! Truck are going to take the left side! And the last 2 floors! Be safe in there! You have a radio for a reason if your stuck use it! Ask for help! Now everyone suit up!" Harper shouts
They all mask up and run in. Harper stands still and watches the flames for a second. Casey appears next to her
"Try not to die in here!" Casey says as he laughs
"I never thought I'd admit this but I'm actually scared to run in here! Because I know that there could be a chance that I'm not gonna run back out" Harper says looking at the building
"Your Harper Severide! Your gonna make it out! Like you always do! Now let's go!" Casey says as he masks up
Harper then does the same and they run in together. They go their separate ways once they are inside and Harper notices that it's like a maze
"Oh god!" Harper says as she tries to navigate her way through
"Any victims yet?" Boden asks through the radio
"Not for squad!" Kelly replies
"Same here chief!" Casey says
"None for truck! It's like a maze in here chief!" Harper replies
"Okay! Keep searching!" Boden says
"Fire department call out!" Harper shouts as she can see something moving in the distance
Harper runs over but as she is running she can head a whistle causing her to stop. Seconds later that object blows up and takes the building with it. Harper is thrown across the room and is knocked out on impact
"Do you guys copy? Severide? Casey? Bailey?" Boden says through the radio
"We're good on this end chief!" Casey replies as Harper wakes up
She rubs her head and stands up
"I'm good too chief! I don't know about the rest of truck!" Harper says
"Mayday! Mayday! Severide and Cruz are down! I repeat Severide and Cruz are down!" Capp shouts
Harper can feel her heart sink and her eyes flood with tears
"Not again!" Harper says as she tries to navigate her way to Kelly and Cruz
"Cruz isn't breathing! And Kelly's is getting shallower!" Capp shouts
