Rushing around my Atlanta home, I make sure I have everything I need before it's time for me to leave. It doesn't help that everywhere I turn there's a person there. For the passed week pretty much my whole family is in town staying with me, except for my mother.
I finally told them I'm expecting, so Miranda, Cordelia, my father, and Lennox decided to come visit me. I'm grateful. It has been nice. Even though I have Rhea, Athena, Glock, and their kids here in Atlanta, it's not the same.
"Lennox, please," I exasperate when my little brother fake crosses me up making me come to a halt. He chuckles while going around me then jumping to hit the top of the doorway entry.
The 14-year-old boy I met has grown so much. He's now a 16-year-old who only cares about basketball, games, his friends, and girls. He still lives with our father in New York City and he's fully adjusted to being apart of our family now. You honestly wouldn't even know we barely found out about him and didn't grow up with one another. Over the year I can finally say I'm close to all my siblings. I could even say me and my father are closer.
I sigh and shake my head grabbing my purse, phone, and keys. "Randa, Cor, let's go before I'm late!" I yell standing by the front door. Finally, they both appear so we can go.
Right when I open the front door I hear my father's voice making me look over my shoulder. "Make sure to bring me back a picture. My first grandchild," he smiles with pride. It actually makes me smile too that he's so happy and excited.
Of course he told me how he feels about Draco being in prison and me having to essentially do this alone. We all know Desmond Garnet isn't going to miss an 'I told you' moment. He's always going to tell you his honest opinion even if you didn't ask for it. I'm just glad I have a strong support system in both my own family and Draco's. This isn't going to be easy...
Today I have my second doctor's appointment and my sister's are coming with me. Rhea and Athena came to my first, so I haven't been short of someone being by my side. They know they can't fill the shoes of my husband, but it helps.
