I walk out of the JFK airport pulling my suitcase behind me getting adjusted to the New York air. It feels like I haven't been here in forever. It's been two months since a judge ordered me to go to Atlanta, Georgia for my safety and now I'm back with my first court appearance coming up soon.

For the past two months I've been able to relax, reflect on my life for the past couple of months, and clear my head. I also got my Atlanta headquarters for Love, Garnet up and running. While in Georgia, I was able to figure out what I want for my life and everything that happened the last few months isn't it. Now I need to get through this court case hoping that I don't have to serve any jail time considering it was self defense.

I look for the Maybach that the person who's picking me up said they're in. Finally I spot the black car then see the driver door pop open at the same time the trunk slowly rises. I walk towards the car and out steps Tru walking around the car towards me.

As we both lay eyes on each other we smile walking to one another. I let go of the handle of my suitcase hugging him as he wraps his arms around me. When he lifts me up a little I chuckle. When my feet are planted back on the ground in my white Nike air max 97's he asks, "How was your flight?"

"Good, I'm glad to be back," I say with a sigh. A part of me felt that to be true and the other half wanted to run back into the airport and catch a flight to Cuba and never come back. But I can't do that because I need to face my fate for my own sake.

"Me too," Tru says with a slight smile before grabbing my bag. He puts the handle down then puts it in the trunk for me.

When I originally called Tru while I was in jail it was for one reason and one reason only... a new lawyer. Somehow we ended up building a friendship, I guess you could say. He's really been there for me during this time. Not only for legal advice, but an ear to listen to me when I have concerns or I'm stressing. I need it.
