because it is a rebirth
a rechristening
a rebaptism
as you wade through the
waters
of this world
and craft a ship out of
your own ideals
to stay afloat
i like to call it
the individual renaissance
when you choose the
road less traveled by
simply to see
where you end up
when you dance in the
darkness
hold hands in the
sunlight
and let the broken
pieces
of yourself
fall together into something
beautiful
i like to call it
the individual renaissance
for what better to call
a reawakening
of the mind
of the heart
of the spirit
of the soul.
