slight rhymes?

---

butterfly

touches

that brush over

skin

like silk sliding over

caramel thighs

long lashes dipping

low

curls

falling through your

fingers

as sand would

i hold you in my hands

like water

and i'm loathe to

let you go

elegance disappears

with the sun

as it sinks back into the

sea

for brief moments

there is a peach-painted

pause

pregnant with questions

swollen with unsaid words

and then the

darkness falls

and the stars come out

and doors slam shut

buttons pop

one by one

hungry gazes

desperation

because when the

morning comes

the magic will be

gone

and what happens

under the cover of night

is easily forgotten

for you

but i live for the

hours

lying on white sheets

our palms pressed

together

with fingers intertwined

i live for the

curve of your smile

as you turn to me

i live for

tomorrow night.
