Caidence's POV

"WHAT?!" Heather exclaimed after Siam told them what we did last night.

"I didn't kill your brother. Don't overreact." I said as I continued eating my lunch.

"You should've told me your plan first!"

"And what? Let you tell your brother about it?" I staidly asked while raising a brow.

Hindi siya nakasagot kaya pairap akong suminghal.

"I don't need your permission if I want to hurt your brother because first of all, he and your father ruined my family."

Uminom ako ng tubig atsaka tamad na tumayo.

"Don't worry, I'm not a crook like your kinsfolk. I have no intention to kill him but if he crossed the line once again, advance condolence." Then I walked out.

"Caidence!"

Sisiguruhin kong magbabayad sila.

They were never aware of it. They didn't see how my father cried every night after what happened to my mother and brothers. They have no idea how hard I tried to live stronger so that Dad could have a chance to live as well. They had no idea how much we had suffered because we had lost not one, but three family members! Nobody knows it better than me and my father. They didn't know how empty it was for the two of us.

"Hey."

Even without looking, I already know who it is.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked as he stood beside me.

"No. Why would I?" I seriously answered.

"You're not answering your phone yesterday and you didn't reply to all of my messages. I'm wondering if something's bothering you." Dire-diretso niyang sambit.

"Is it my responsibility to response whenever you call or send a text?" I put an innocent act. "Hindi naman, 'di ba?"

"Why are you acting like this?"

"Do I have to smile everyday?"

"You're not like this, Caidence."

"You're now deciding how I should appear."

"That's not what I'm trying to say."

"I'm tired, you know? Nakakapagod na."

"Then take a rest."

Matunog akong napangisi bago siya nilingon sa unang pagkakataon, "Why are you talking to me, by the way?" I arched a brow.

"Because you're not responding to my calls and texts."

"What do you want to say, then?"

Hindi na naman siya nakasagot. Nanatiling nakatitig ang mga mata niya sa mata ko. Nagpapalit-palit ang kulay non, from black to blue to black again. It was like flicking. Siguradong kinokontrol niya ang sixth sense niya.

"I guess you forgot." Umiwas ako ng tingin at bumuntong hininga. "Balikan mo 'ko kapag naalala mo na." Malamig kong dagdag habang nasa malayo ang paningin.
