It'd been around two months inside Remus and I had broken up for the sake of the groups friendship and dynamic, and things had settle back to normal. As I walked into the common room after curfew, I noticed only a couple people in the room, including Remus.

"Hey, Moony." He looked up from his book, tipping his head over the back of the sofa with a smile.

"Hey, what were you doing out?" I shrugged, dropping into the seat beside him and resting my legs on his.

"Talking to Minnie about the other night." Remus nodded, setting one of his hands on my shin, gently rubbing his thumb along my skin.

"Why didn't we just tell everyone we broke up, and just not?" I tilted my head, staring at my childhood friend. "I love you more than you know, (N/n)..." I stared at him in surprise, I hadn't heard him say that in months, and I kind of missed it. I hummed, understanding what he'd said.

"Because you kept arguing with Sirius, and Peter...and I didn't want to be the reason our little group fell apart-"

"You wouldn't have been-"

"Remus." He fell silent. "We broke up, everything's normal, no ones been arguing, no one's threatened someone else..." I pulled my legs from resting on him and stood up. "Everything's fine now..."

I offered Lily a smile as I walked into our dorm room, although I soon noticed her with her face buried in her pillow...her shoulders shaking.

"Lily?" She immediately fell quiet as I hesitantly crouched beside her bed. "What's wrong?" My voice softened, a sad smile crossing my lips. It hurt to see her like this, she was always therefor me, so I'm going to do the same. "Lils-" she sat up, facing me, and that's when I saw it. She had a large red mark on the side of her face, small black lines coming from one spot. I quickly stood up and turned her head so I could get a better look. "That's- That's a hex. Who hexed you?" She refused to answer me, opening her mouth intending to before closing it and shaking her head. "Lily! Who hexed you?!" I was pleading, begging to know who had done this.

"It's not the only one..." She lifted her shirt and I could spot a few on her sides, travelling to her back as she stood up and turned her back to me to show me. "I'm a mud-blood, it's 'what I get'." I held my breath, staring at the red marks line with black.

"Lils, give me the name." She stared at me, dropping back onto her bed with a sigh, reluctantly handing me the name.

"Severus, and his friends." I shot up from the floor, grabbing something from beside my bed and wandering back into the common room.

"Marlene!!" I screamed up the boys dorm stairs, knowing she was up there with Sirius. "MARLENE!!" It was barely 30 seconds when she came sprinting down the stairs, followed by the Marauders, since Remus had intended on actually going to bed. She was panting a little, although calmed herself when she noticed how pissed I was. Lily had made her way down the stairs with puffy red eyes. "Take Lily to Madam Pomfrey." Her eyes widened at the sight of Lily's appearance before nodding, gladly taking her hand and leading her out of the common room.

"What happened to Lily?" James quickly asked, moving to follow after her. I grabbed his wrist.

"We're paying Slytherin a little visit tonight." I twirled the bat in my hands.

"(Y/n), you're mental."

"I just turned eighteen, and I think this year I'm gonna be mean." I smirked, slipping the bat over my shoulders before leaving the common room. "If you don't want to beat Sev and his mates, fine by me." I could hear them finally follow me. "But if someone ever calls her a mud-blood, and hexes her that many times...they deserve to have their kneecaps blown." My expression hardened as I continued on my way to the dungeons. James was now at my one side, his wand tightly gripped in his hand.

"Personally, I think the amount we've tormented poor Snivellous doesn't even amount to what we're about to do to him." Sirius' chuckle was dark as he patted James shoulder.

"It's getting cold down here..." Peter muttered, smirking a little as he realised we had made it nearer to the dungeons quicker than anticipated. I heard the satisfying sound of bones cracking and glanced over my shoulder to see Remus cracking his neck and knuckles.

"No wand, Moony?"

"James is good at duelling, you've got a bat, Sirius has his Jinxes, Peter and I are more..." He glanced to our friend, trying to find the most suitable word.

"Physical." Peter answered vaguely. I smiled sweetly with a quiet giggle, realising we had reached the corridor I wanted.

"Could you guys stay here a moment?" They shared looks but nodded. "Severus~!" I sang sweetly. "I just want to talk~" After a couple of moments, James and Sirius had their wands ready while I had my bat swung over my shoulders, Remus and Peter at my sides, Prongsy and Pads at their sides. And not long after we had adjusted positions, we were joined in the corridor by laughing Slytherin's, whose expressions slowly fell.

"Five of you? Against us?" Avery laughed, motioning to his fellow housemates.

"What'd you do to Evans?" I asked, biting my lip enough to draw the tiniest hint of blood.

"The mud-blood?" Avery looked to his left, at Mulciber. "Nothing, we haven't seen her all day-"

"What'd Snape do?" James snapped. I'd never heard a name come from his lips for Severus, always a nickname to torment him by.

"After what she said, she deserved it-" James' wand fell into my free hand, and before I could grab his sleeve, he had slipped passed me, beginning to run before tackling Severus to the ground. The Slytherin's began to uproar, while my surprise expression twisted into a smirk.

"Sirius-" He hummed, stuffing his hands into his pockets with a smirk. "Take Mulciber." He gladly nodded and stalked towards our classmate as the Slytherin drew his wand. "Peter, Avery." He happily nodded, heading his way. "Remus-"

"Love." I looked back to him with a soft smile.

"You're violent, right?"

"When need be." My smile grew and I sighed, glee filling my body.

"Take whoever you can, just leave Reg alone."

"You got it, sweetheart." I smiled as he began walking ahead of me, a calm smile on his lips before his knuckles collided with the jaw of one of the Slytherin boys Severus usually hung around with. Satisfaction coursed through my body as I watched four of my closest friends physically defend Jamie's girlfriend, our closest friend. My eyes caught those of Severus as he escaped from under James Potter.

"You-" His words caught as James began to punch someone else repeatedly. "You bloody half-breed! You're a monster!" A sick smile crossed his lips, he could see my expression fall, that his words were getting to me. "Little runt of the group, huh?" He began to grow closer to me. "You're an abomination, like that filthy mud-blood of a friend of yours-" His sentence came short when the metal of my 'accessory' collided with the side of his head. He was sent to the stone floor. My chest was heaving as the room fell quiet, everyone having frozen at the sound of metal colliding with something. As I stared at the floor, surprised I had brought myself to do that, I heard Snape chuckle. "Some swing you've got...Pent up anger from the moon? The break up? Your parents?" I slowly moved until I was stood above him, the bat raised above my head. However, when I went to slam hit into his fucking head, I couldn't, someone had gripped the end. I turned my head and found Hagrid. I froze, my eyes meeting his.

"Now Now, Miss Spencer, wouldn't want to get in trouble, now would yer?" My eyes widened and I slowly shook my head, releasing the bat. "Might want to head back to yer dorm before Dumbledore finds ya." I nodded again and stepped away from him, looking to my friends, who had all stepped away from the students they were running. We heard a few teachers voices down the corridor and we all shared glances. Remus quickly grabbed my wrist and pulled me away as the others ran passed me.
