Bedtime arrive. Tony take me to his bedroom tonight and started telling me about the stuff my dad used to do.

He was an amazing scientist and all his research benefitted the humanity. He once created a cure for one of the flu that affected the whole population and saved many lives.

Tony: He was a good man.

Me: Hey, uncle?

Tony: Yeah?

Me: Have you sleep yet?

I ask him as I slowly getting drowsy.

Tony: ...Yeah, I have.

Sylvie whispered to me that it was a lie. Sylvie is quite well versed in human body condition and sometimes heal my injuries when she finds it necessary.

Me: Lies...

He was stunned for a while.

Tony: Why do you think it's a lie?

Me: Because Sylvie said so. She knows you haven't had any sleep.

Tony: I see...

I hold his hand with every strength that I had left.

Me: Sylvie is worried for your health. If you can't sleep alone, then sleep with me..

He went silent for a while.

Tony: Okay, I'll sleep with you.

He lay down next to me and said 'good night ' to me.

Me: Good night, Uncle Tony...

I soon fall asleep.

' Thank you, Zane.'

I was woken up by a loud scream the next day.

' WHAT ARE YOU?!'

I got up.

' What's wrong?' I asked while I rub my eyes.

' Z-ZaNe?! Can you see that?!' Uncle Tony asked in a panicked voice.

I looked at the area that he point at. It was Sylvie, the water spirit that have been with me since I was a small child, well, smaller.

' I guess he gained Sylvie's trust last night.'

' That's Sylvie, Uncle Tony.'

' Sylvie? One of your spirit friends?'

' Yeah, she's the one from last night.'

' I-I see... Sorry to wake you up, Zane.'

' It's okay. I can sleep more later. Did you have a good rest, uncle?'

' Yeah...'

Uncle tries to greet Sylvie with a handshake. Sylvie just flew around him as a sign that she likes him.

' So... Does this mean she likes me?'

' Yeah.'

I think I saw his eyes light up. Eh~ maybe my imagination. I just went to the bathroom and wash up.

' Hey, Zane! I put a new change of clothes on the bed! Come to the living room when you're ready!'

' Okay!'

I wear the black hoodie and a grey sweatpants on the bed and meka my way to the living room. I met Uncle Thor in the hallway.

' Morning, champ!'

' Good morning, Uncle Thor!'

' Say, what do you think of a little race to the living room?'

Just as he said that, I started to dash across the hallway.

' See you in the living room, Uncle Thor!!'

' Hey! I wasn't ready!!'

He started to chase after me. We race until we reach the living room.

' I won!' I shouted as I enter the room.

Thor: No fair! * Wheeze * You got a head start!

Me: But aren't adults supposed to be faster than kids?

Tony: He's not an adult, Zane. He's a grandpa.

Me: Oooh, sorry. I won't do it again!

Thor: Hey, Metal Man! Don't teach him nonsense!

Tony: But you are more than a thousand years old.

Uncle Tony and Uncle Thor bickered for a while. I went to sit at the dining table. Aunt Nat approached me.

Nat: Hey, Zane. You're gonna come with me today.

Me: Sure! What are we gonna do?

Nat: We'll go out and buy some essential stuff for you. Like clothes and shoes. Steve is going with us too.

Me: We're going with Uncle Steve too?

Nat: Yup! Are you excited?

Me: Yeah!

Nat: Then finish your breakfast. Only then, we can go out.

Me: Okay!

I eat all the scrambled egg and sausages on my plate. It was a scrumptious meal accompanied by a soothing strawberry milk. I feel full and rest for a while.

Nat: Hey, kid! Let's go!

Me: Coming!
