Silence was all that was there. Still, intense, silent. A meeting has always been intense though, nothing foreign there.

Luciano stared at the Don before him, Don Garza as he thought of his answer. He sat up straight with his hands clasped as he finally answered.

"No"

He watched Don Garza's face contort into confusion. "I thought we had a deal" He said and Luciano shook his head.

"I said nothing of human trafficking" Luciano expressed. "That is unnecessary heat I will not risk especially if my allies are already skeptical of this alliance" The Don scoffed.

"How is this any different from profiting from prostitution?"

"I am not selling them to men to enslave them." He responded." No deal" He said in conclusion. He nodded for his other Capo, Marco and Ana, his Consigliere to follow his exit. Marco did get up, but Luciano noticed Ana did not. He raised his eyebrow, subtly threatening her for her disrespect and knowing what her lack of movement meant.

She didn't agree with him.

" Mi scusi signore" (Excuse me Gentleman), she politely excused, standing up and nodding. Luciano walked off, with her following as they stopped outside the door.

"Inizia a parlare" (Start talking) He demanded and she nodded. "It is good money Luciano. It is 5% more of what the prostitutes make", she explained and he chuckled, surprised by her agreement.

He took a step forward, staring outside. "How can you, as a woman, be comfortable with trafficking women to be enslaved to men?" He didn't expect everyone to have some kind of line they didn't cross or a moral or even just standards, but he expected her to.

"I am about money and power. Forming allies with a big Don with multiple families is good." Luciano couldn't believe his ears considering she was the one doubtful of the alliance from the beginning, though he continued to let her talk. "We could get his connections and resources and when we do, we can drop them and rein over" His eyebrows bunched together as he held his hand up, stopping her from proceeding.

"Non è il nostro modo" (That is not our way) He reminded her.

She huffed and stared up at him. "Why am I your Consigliere?" She questioned and he knew what she wanted to hear, so he decided to not answer, but it gave her an answer either way as she said, "Exactly"

Still, Luciano was against the idea of enslaving women. Prostitutes willingly gave their bodies, he was just collecting a percentage. Though they couldn't leave because they would be a liability, they always had death as an option. But he did say, it was about money, power and growth and this fit all too well. He nodded and they walked back into the room together.

He stood at the table, but didn't sit down.

"10% off the top of any profit made from your products and human trafficking, and that's only a trial as my partner. " Luciano demanded and Don Garza's Capo scoffed as he said, " Absolutely not"

Luciano's eyes squinted as he grinned.

" 12% including your connections, your percentage of your product and the alliances of your families. In return I give you protection from any enemies I am allied with, and a trade and percentage of my own product. Becoming your source is another payment" Luciano stared at him as he spoke coherently, firmly and rationally.

He looked back at Ana and she nodded then he turned his attention to the still quiet Don.

Then he spoke, " Deal" Luciano nodded.

" My Consigliere will inform you of the specifics and gather any other information of your side activities" He said, referring to the human trafficking. He nodded at Marco and they followed him out the door.
