~Dipper's POV~

I sat in the empty room with the window seat in it with the journal on my lap. I swiped it from Stanford before he noticed it was gone. I was mindlessly flipping through the pages that I'd memorised over the summer. The mystery was over. Maybe I could finally have a normal summer.

I sighed. Normal summer. Isn't that all I wanted? Then why do I feel so disappointed?

"Poor Pine Tree," came a voice. "You can't trust anyone."

I clenched my teeth. "Not now, Bill."

There was a burst of yellow light. "No need to be such a downer, Pine Tree, sheesh!"

"Well you don't have to be such a stalker," I snapped.

"You alright kid?" Bill asked. "You're not the type to yell."

"I'm fine," I lied through gritted teeth.

"Sure you are."

"What do you want?"

"Is there a reason for a friend to visit a friend that's depressed?"

"I'm not depressed," I said. "And we're not friends."

"Sure we are," Bill said, putting his arm around me. "You're the closest to a friend I've ever had."

I brushed his arm off. "News flash: I don't care."

"Is Shooting Star annoying you?"

I didn't answer.

"Aha!" Bill said, snapping his fingers. "I knew it."

I still didn't say anything. I mean, Bill knew what I was thinking anyway. Its not like I can hold back any secrets from him.

"True," Bill said reading my thoughts.

I sighed. "Its just some sibling drama. It's nothing special."

"I too had an annoying sibling once when I was human," Bill said, tapping where his chin would be. "I shot him down when I became a demon. It was fun. You know, I could take care of her for you. Make it almost painless."

"What!?" I sat up. "No! I don't want to get rid of her! She's still my sister."

"Yes, but what has your sister done? You've trusted her this entire time, have you not? What did she do? She abandon all reason and trusted Stan of all people. He's a con-man, a cheat, a liar, must I go on?"

"Mabel saved his brother's life!" I said, crossing my arms.

"Ha!" Bill said. "You only think she did! Shooting Star has unleashed a power bigger then this whole town! If this guy gets full access to the journals, he could destroy the whole town."

I knew it. I knew he couldn't be trusted!

"That's why you're the smart one, kid," Bill said. "Trust me, I could help you get rid of this Stanford. He's not Stan's brother anymore. He'll try and kill you."

"How can I trust you?" I asked, uncertainly.

"Because we're friends."

"Yeah...friends."

Bill stuck out his hand. "What do ya say?"

It felt like something forced me to take his hand. He shook it as flames engulfed my hand. But it didn't stop at my hand. The flames went up my arm and engulfed the rest of me. I tried to scream, but nothing came out.

"Pleasure doing buisness with you, Pine Tree."

~Mabel's POV~

Dipper's been gone forever. I started to wonder where he went.

After we got back from town, he stole his journal and made his way upstairs. That was like an hour ago. I wonder why he's so detached? He never holds a grudge against me for so long.

I decided to go check on him. I made my way upstairs. At first I wasn't sure where to look, but I guessed he was in the room with the yellow window in it. He was always there when he needed peace and quiet.

As I walked into the room, the first thing I saw was Bill. Then Dipper laying unconscious on the ground, then the journal in Bill's hands.

"Oh, hey Shooting Star. Just picking up something. I'll be quick."

"What'd you do to Dipper?" I asked.

"We made a deal," Bill said.

Then he grabbed Dipper's arm and held him off the ground. "I'll be taking my cargo now. You're brother will work nicely." There was a flash of yellow light and both Bill and Dipper were gone.

I stood there for about three seconds before I turned and ran downstairs screaming, "Grunkle Stan!"
