~Dipper's POV~

I hugged my knees, rocking back and forth. You've gotta hold on to your sanity, man! It's the only thing you've got!

There was a lump in my throat that I couldn't swallow and tears constantly slipped down my cheeks.

The door to my room opened and Bill walked in with a smirk. "Time to test out your fire power."

"No," I said through gritted teeth.

Bill paused. "No?"

I glared at him. "You heard me. I said no. I'm got going to help you."

Bill was silent for a bit. Then, he slowly walked over to me. "If you were smart, you wouldn't disobey a direct order."

"Or what?" I snapped. "It's not like you're going to kill me."

Bill raised an eyebrow. "Killing you would be the cowardly thing to do."

I glared at him. "You can do anything you want to me. I don't care."

"You sound a lot like the Pine Tree from my dimention," Bill said. "And I don't like that attitude."

"So what? You gonna put me in time out or something?"

Bill shrugged with a smirk on his face. "Or something."

About an hour later, I was still sobbing on the floor. It felt like my back had been ripped entirely open and salt was rubbed in it. "I hope that will teach you a lesson in obedience, kid."

I tried to swallow the pain, but it didn't help. I heard Mabel yelling and crying the whole time, but I was too weak to even look up now.

For some reason, after about ten minutes or so laying there, it started to feel a little better. My breathing evened and I stopped crying. The pain was actually bearable. I put a hand tentatively to my back. The back of my shirt was pretty much soaked with blood. I grimaced. Then I stuck my hand under my shirt. All I could feel were scars, and even those were fading. I slowly stood up.

"D-dipper?"

I looked over at Mabel. She had tears slipping down her face. "I-I'm okay."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

I nodded, rubbing the part of my back just below the back of my neck. It hardly hurt now. "Yeah." I walked over to her. "I-I just wish that you didn't see that happen."

"Its okay," she said, as I sat down in front of her. She didn't meet my eyes. I looked around. Bill was nowhere to be seen. "I'm gonna get you out of here," I whispered to her."

"What? No!" Mabel said. "If you get caught-"

"I'll be fine," I said. "Get Stanley. Then you can come back for me." I moved to where Stan and Mabel's hands were tied together. Mabel's finger nails were chipped and there was dried blood on them. She'd tried to cut the ropes with them! I found the knot and untied it.

"Dipper," Stan said. "You can't-"

"Look out!" Mabel yelled.

I turned around just in time to see Bill grab me by the shirt. "I thought I made it clear that disobedience is not taken lightly with me."

I swallowed. "Y-you did."

"Then what's this?" He asked, his eye gleaming.

I tried to swallow my fear. "You never said anything about not letting them go."

Bill's eye grew red and he smacked me hard in the face. I let out a cry of pain and he threw me to the ground.

"Stop!" Mabel yelled.
