"CAN YOU WEAR that to the party?" My eyes widened as Mackenzie walked in through the door dressed in a sequined purple skirt and a black body hugging tank top that emphasised her slightly curvy figure, drawing attention to her generous assets.

Mackenzie rolled her eyes, scanning my outfit with a painstakingly fastidious expression. "Forget about what I can wear, Y/N." She finally spoke, her lips pulling into a thin line as she circled me quickly. "How can you wear that to a party? You're going to what could be the biggest frat party of the year, not the goddamn... church!"

Feeling mildly offended, I glanced down at my favourite orange peplum top and black skinny jeans. "What's wrong with my clothes?"

"Everything!" Mackenzie exclaimed. "You are not showing any skin, the skinny jeans look like you've worn them to every single social outing you've ever had since middle school and that peplum top might as well be your aunt's who grew out of it, had a middle age crisis, decided there was no way she was ever going to fit into it again and gave it to you!"

I let out a breath. "Wow, that's... harsh."

"But it's the truth," Mackenzie emphasised with a shrug and a meaningful shake of her head. "Look, I know you might think that I'm overstepping some boundaries here since I only met you today and we aren't exactly best friends forever yet," She spoke, a little gently this time, before inviting herself in and looking around the room curiously. "-but I still stand by what I just said because I would have hated to see you feeling horribly underdressed when we arrived at the party later in the evening." She stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world and then turned to look at me with a raised brow. "Now, where's your closet?"

I clicked my tongue and shrugged. "No closet here." Pointing towards the large drawer under my bed, I looked at her. "That drawer is all this room has room for."

Mackenzie seemed to find my words hilarious as she giggled and threw me an amused look. "And does that drawer have room for one more dress?" She queried as she got on her knees to pull it open. Peeking inside, she nodded approvingly. "Yep, it definitely does. Everything is so neatly arranged in here, I could probably keep at least twenty more dresses in here if I tried."

I chuckled, sitting down beside her. "Well, feel free to use the extra space if you want to. These are all the clothes I have and I don't plan on buying any more any time soon."

"I'll think about that later." Mackenzie hummed, nodding. "But for now, I have thought of the perfect dress to add to your collection."

"What do you mean?"

"It means that I have the perfect dress for you to wear to the party tonight." She replied, getting up. "And after you wear it, I'm going to let you keep it because I can already envision you rocking it way better than I would ever be able to."

Saying that, she marched out of the room just as quickly as she had come without as much as giving me a chance to respond. I gaped at the empty doorway, unable to process my thoughts for a second. I had never had friends who barged in on me without invitation, gave me fashion advice or offered to lend me their dresses before.
