"ARE YOU SURE you know what you're doing, Y/N?" I looked up at Jungkook unimpressed as he sceptically looked at the tomatoes I had cored, his face scrunched up in dismay. "Because who the fvck decides to make tomato sauce from scratch at-" He glanced at the clock and sighed. "-three in the morning?"

I rolled my eyes, nudging him to move out of my way as I turned the stove on to set the tomatoes to blanch. "Well, we didn't exactly have the option to get a store bought one, did we?" I looked at him meaningfully before reaching to put back the pasta. "And I would be quite happy to save myself the effort if you don't want to eat."

Jungkook's eyebrows rose. "What? No!" He quickly protested, lunging forward to grab the pasta. "I want to eat." He added sheepishly. "Just tell me how I can help."

I smiled to myself. Kim Y/N one. Jeon Jungkook zero. Forcing myself to keep a neutral expression, I pointed towards the refrigerator. "If you could maybe find me some garlic and onions-"

"On it," He nodded almost instantly, obediently ambling towards the fridge. I heard him shuffling some things around while I quickly drained the excess water out of the blanched tomatoes and set them to cool slightly. Then, he spoke again, confusion lacing his voice. "How many do you need again? The onions, I mean."

I suppressed a giggle. It was clear he didn't know a thing about cooking and while that wasn't exactly a sin, the fact that he was trying to be helpful despite being completely clueless was endearing. "Just one would be more than enough." I told him quickly. "And please get the entire pack of the minced garlic. I'll scoop out as much as I need."

"Here. What next?" He looked at me expectantly as he nonchalantly rolled his sleeves up, an action I was sure was intended towards keeping his clearly expensive shirt that was definitely not meant to be worn while cooking from getting in the way; but all it did was to draw my attention to how muscular and veiny his arms were. And how good his sliver bracelet looked just sitting on his wrist, like it wasn't something that made my roommate look like one of those sultry-eyed models from Pinterest.

It distracted me. More than I would have liked.

I was certain that the air of Seoul was slowly corrupting my head.

"O-Oh, what?" I stuttered, blinking. Jungkook was staring at me, his eyebrow quirked in a manner that told me he was all too aware of where my eyes had just been. Thankfully, he chose not to voice his amusement and wordlessly took the tomatoes from me, proceeding to crush them. I closed my eyes. God, this was so embarrassing!

"How do you know h-how to do that?" I blurted, cursing myself when his eyes found mine again. I sounded so eager to dissipate the awkward tension, it made me feel conscious of my own voice. But Jungkook simply shrugged.
